A sanitary napkin is disclosed having a body-facing surface and a garment-facing surface. The sanitary napkin also has a first end, a second end, and a pair of sides. The sanitary napkin has a longitudinal central axis, a transverse central axis, a main absorbent, and first and second 3-dimensional absorbent members. The main absorbent, and the first and second 3-dimensional absorbent members are joined together between a liquid pervious top sheet and a liquid-impervious back sheet. All three absorbents contain superabsorbent. The sanitary napkin also has a pair of wings extending outward from the sides of the sanitary napkin and has garment adhesive on the garment facing surfaces to secure the sanitary napkin and the pair of wings to the crotch portion of an undergarment. This sanitary napkin is designed to absorb heavy to excessive menstrual fluid flow.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH ABSORBENT CORE STRUCTURE PERIMETER SEAL ARRANGEMENTS

A disposable absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core structure therebetween. The absorbent core structure having an upper nonwoven layer, a lower nonwoven layer, and a portion of an inner core layer disposed therebetween. The portion of the inner core layer is contained within the upper and lower nonwoven layers by sealing a portion of the first and second side regions of the upper nonwoven layer with a portion of the first and second side regions of the lower nonwoven layer at a lateral perimeter seal. An adhesive is positioned between the upper and nonwoven layers in the perimeter seal. The lateral perimeter seal is positioned in the middle region and has a longitudinal seal length that is from about 45% to about 90% of the longitudinal inner core length.

An absorbent article, a portion of which is configured to absorb fluids, has a chassis with a length greater than its width. The chassis length extends in a longitudinal direction from the back to the front of a user between first and second longitudinal edges and the width extends in a lateral direction substantially perpendicular to the length and between first and second lateral edges. Absorbent strips with a length greater than their width are arranged at outer edges of the chassis for added absorbency of the article.

Absorbent article

An absorbent article may include a top sheet that is liquid-permeable, a back sheet that is liquid-impermeable, and an absorbent body situated between the top sheet and the back sheet in a thickness direction. At least one of the top sheet and the back sheet may include a synthetic resin sheet that includes a synthetic resin component and an oxidative decomposer comprising a mixture of a carboxylate and a rare earth compound. The synthetic resin sheet may contain the oxidative decomposer in a mass ratio such that a decomposition rate index (D.sub.i), as determined by formula (1), is 7.8 or less:
D.sub.i=B.sub.r×S.sub.a  (1)
where B.sub.r represents a mass ratio (g/g) of the oxidative decomposer with respect to the synthetic resin component, and S.sub.a represents a specific surface area (cm.sup.2/g) of the synthetic resin sheet.

Composite dressings for improved granulation and reduced maceration with negative-pressure treatment

Dressings for tissue treatment with negative pressure and methods of using the dressings for tissue treatment with negative pressure, which may comprise a dressing having at least three layers assembled in a stacked relationship. The first layer may comprise or consist essentially of a polymer film having a plurality of fluid restrictions that are normally unstrained or closed. The second layer may comprise a manifold, and the third layer may comprise or consist essentially of a polymer drape. A fourth layer, which may be coupled to the first layer opposite the second layer, may comprise or consist essentially of a silicone gel having a plurality of apertures. In some examples, the plurality of apertures in the fourth layer may be registered with the fluid restrictions of the first layer.
