Ocular vision system with optical guide that can be positioned in two positions
09897813 · 2018-02-20 · ·

An ocular vision system with a display module, which includes a transparent optical guide, is adapted for propagating, by total internal reflections, a light beam transporting an image as far as an extraction section of the optical guide. The system may include: means for positioning the optical guide in a first position in which the extraction zone is placed along a first axis corresponding to a nominal axis of sight of the user's eye; means for positioning the optical guide in a second position in which the extraction zone is placed along a second axis offset with respect to the nominal axis of sight of the user's eye; and means for rotating the optical guide about an axis intended to pass substantially through the center of rotation of the user's eye, enabling the optical guide to pass from the first position to the second position and vice versa.

An image display device includes an observation optical system configured to guide light toward the eyes of an observer, a casing supporting the observation optical system so as to be movable along a predetermined path, a first heat dissipation part and a second heat dissipation part that are provided in the casing, positioned in opposite directions along the path with respect to the observation optical system, and configured to dissipate heat generated in the casing. A heat transfer part connects the first heat dissipation part and the second heat dissipation part so as to transfer heat between them.

Head-Mounted Display

A head mounted display (HMD) is provided with a frame worn on the head of an observer and supporting an optical unit, and a position adjusting mechanism. The position adjusting mechanism adjusts the position, in a vertical direction, of the optical unit by moving a nose-pad portion in the vertical direction relative to the frame. The optical unit includes: an observation optical system positioned in front of the eyes of the observer to cause light representing an image generated by an image generation unit to be diffracted and reflected by a hologram optical element in the direction of the observer's pupil, thereby enabling the observer to observe a virtual image of the image; and a rotating mechanism for causing the optical unit to rotate about an axis along the eye-width direction of the observer and to be held in an arbitrarily defined position.

Display apparatus

A display apparatus includes: an eyeglass-type frame worn by a head of a viewer; and an image display apparatus attached to the frame, wherein the image display apparatus includes an image formation device, and an optical device on which light that exits from the image formation device is incident, through which the light is guided, and out of which the light exits, the frame is formed of a front portion, two temple portions extending from both ends of the front portion, a nose pad, and an attachment member, the attachment member is attached to a central section of the front portion, the optical device is attached to the attachment member, and the nose pad is so attached to the attachment member that the nose pad is movable upward and downward.

NOSE PAD EYE/GAZE TRACKING MODULE APPLICABLE TO SMART GLASSES

The present invention relates to a nose pad eye/gaze tracking module applicable to known augmented/virtual reality glasses, to visual remote guidance devices in general or to working/safety glasses, constituting the nose pads part of said devices. The invention further provides a method for fastening the nose pad eye/gaze tracking module to said kind of devices.

Spectacle with invisible optics

A wearable electronic display that includes an eyewear frame having a first side frame portion. A display module with a micro-display for generating images can be mounted to the first side frame portion. The display module can have an elongate portion with an image exit window positioned for directing viewable images to a user's eye.

SMART WEARABLE DEVICE

The present disclosure relates to the field of display technology, and in particular, to a smart wearable device. The smart wearable device comprises a glasses body, an auxiliary frame for its user to wear on the head, and a massage apparatus for the user to massage the head; the glasses body comprising a smart display means and glasses legs carrying the smart display means; both ends of the auxiliary frame being connected to the glasses legs, respectively.

Head-mounted display

There is provided a head-mounted display which allows the lengths of fastening bands to be adjusted easily and can be mounted on the head of the user with increased stability. The head-mounted display has a first fastening band and a second fastening band which extend from the front side toward rear side thereof, for being fastened to the head of the user. At least a portion of the first fastening band is made of an elastically expandable material. The second fastening band is made of a material which is less expandable than the material of the first fastening band and includes a mechanism for adjusting the length thereof.

Embodiments of the present disclosure related to a head mounted display (HMD) that enable adjustment of lenses for a particular consumer. In some example embodiments, the HMD enables up to three-degrees of freedom of lens alignment with a consumer's pupils. For example, the HMD includes an actuation device or rotatable disc, both of which are in slidable enagement with at least one elongated members. Ends of the elongated members are coupled to a mirror/lens such that actuation of the actuation device or rotation of the disc translates the elongated member along an axis, which is in general alignment with a pupillary distance (PD) of the consumer. Additionally, the elongated members include mirror/lens interfaces to which the lenses are coupled. The mirror/lens interfaces are slidably and rotatably coupled to the elongated members thereby providing additional degrees of freedom for movement of the lenses.

Wearable computer

A wearable computer includes a computer, a display unit, first and second casings, temples, a holding member and an adjustment mechanism. The second casing houses the computer. The temples are respectively connected to one end and, through a connection member, the other end of the first casing in a longitudinal direction. The holding member extends downward from the connection member and holds a nose pad and a translucent member. The display unit extends downward from the first casing and to outside of an installation space of the translucent member to face one eye of a wearer. The adjustment mechanism adjusts a relative position of the display unit and the nose pad. The wearable computer is wearable with the first casing being held above the one eye by the temples, the connection member and the nose pad.
