METHOD OF FORMING PRIMARY PACKAGE TUBE FOR TAMPONS
High-speed methods to close tubular plastic wrappers may include providing a packaging film on a mandrel in the form of a hollow tube, forming a folded surface by rotating the hollow tube and mandrel while counter-rotating a plate having a plurality of folding blades extending outwardly therefrom, to form a plurality of folds that define the folded surface, substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the hollow tube, each folding blade engaging a portion of the protruding tube portion, applying heat and pressure to the folded surface to form a closed end, inserting the tampon into the tube, and closing the first end of the tube. The film material comprises at least one thermoplastic surface, and the mandrel has a first end extending from a revolving platform and a second end, distal the first end. The mandrel can rotate with respect to the revolving platform on which it is mounted.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing a tampon packaging
A method and apparatus for manufacturing a tampon packaging where the packaging is manufactured separately from the tampon. A first transversal end is overlapped with a second transversal end of a strip of heat-sealable film. The first transversal end is heat sealed to the second transversal end of the heat-sealable film, thereby forming a tube of film.
Menstrual Cup
An array of products is described. The array includes a menstrual cup in a first package and a second article in a second package. The first package is marketed for menstrual use. The first and the second package made by, made for, distributed by, and/or distributed for a feminine article manufacturer.
Package assembly for or with a tampon applicator
Disclosed is a tampon applicator package assembly having a tampon applicator and a cap having a closed end and an open end. The tampon applicator has a barrel for housing a pledget and a plunger. The plunger has an end portion that is a cap cover that connects to a remainder of the plunger and mates with the cap at the open end to provide a seal with the cap that completely encloses the tampon applicator in the cap. Also disclosed is an assembly having a tampon applicator, a cap having both a closed end and open end, and a cap cover for covering the open end of the cap. When the cap cover is placed on the open end, the open end is sealed and the tampon applicator is completely enclosed in the cap.
Tampon
A tampon, particularly for feminine hygiene, comprises a substantially cylindrical absorbent body that is peripherally compressed and contained in a wrapper or in an applicator device. The absorbent body is formed by a rolled rectangular strip of absorbent material and comprises: a front end in the direction of insertion of the tampon, a rear end from which extends a removal string, and a lateral surface. The entirety of the outer surface of the absorbent body, corresponding to the front end, rear end and lateral surface is formed by a first layer of non-woven absorbent fabric.
VENDING MACHINE FOR RETAINING AND DISPENSING PRODUCTS
An apparatus for dispensing a product a hygiene product. The apparatus includes a housing for retaining a plurality of products wherein the housing includes a storage rack configured to hold the plurality of products. A weight is movably positioned within the storage rack and is configured to exert a downward force on the plurality of products. A sensor is positioned adjacent to a bottom end of the storage rack. A magnet is affixed to the weight wherein the magnet is configured to substantially align with the sensor once the plurality of products have been completely dispensed from the storage rack.
INDIVIDUAL PULL TAB PACKAGING FOR TAMPONS
Implementations of an individual pull tab packaging for tampons are provided. In some implementations, the individual pull tab packaging for tampons comprises a hollow elongated having a cylindrical shape configured to hold and enclose a tampon in an interior and comprising a top portion and a bottom portion joined together by a separable pull tab to open the interior, wherein the pull tab is configured to be pulled from the top portion and the bottom portion to disjoin the top portion and the bottom portion to open the interior.
TAMPON AND TAMPON APPLICATION WRAPPER
A feminine hygiene product wrapper, comprising a front panel having a closed side lengthwise edge, an open side lengthwise edge, a bottom widthwise edge, and a top widthwise edge; a back panel having a closed side lengthwise edge, an open side lengthwise edge, a bottom widthwise edge, and a top widthwise edge; and an expandable side panel having a lengthwise extending first side edge, a lengthwise extending second side edge, a top edge, and a bottom edge, wherein the lengthwise extending first side edge is attached to the open side lengthwise edge of the front panel, and the lengthwise extending second side edge is attached to the open side lengthwise edge of the back panel.
Method and Apparatus for Manufacturing a Tampon Packaging
The invention pertains to a method for manufacturing a tampon packaging (24), comprising the steps of: a) wrapping a strip of heat-sealable film (23) around a holding means (1, 18), whereby a first transversal end (27) of said strip overlaps with a second transversal end (28) of said strip; b) heat sealing said first transversal end (27) to said second transversal end (28), thereby forming a tube of film, and c) removing said tube of film from said holding means, thereby obtaining a tampon packaging, characterized in that said heat sealing step (b) is performed at least partly during a combined movement of said holding means (1, 18) and said strip (23). The invention further pertains to related apparatuses, systems of tampon and tampon packaging and methods for manufacturing a packaged tampon.
