Double gusset cloth diaper along with method for making the same
A double gusset cloth diaper including an inner surface and an outer surface forming an hourglass shape, having a groin area proximate a center line of the reusable diaper and defining at least one recess therebetween. A fluid absorbent material is removably located in the recess through the opening. A first gusset is attached to the reusable diaper to form a first seal between the inner surface and the legs of the user. A second gusset is attached to the reusable diaper proximate the first gusset. The gussets are formed of an elastic material attached to the wrong side of the inner surface in a channel formed by stitching the inner surface to form channels.

Absorbent articles with pulpless riffled core
Disposable absorbent articles comprising absorbent cores are presented. In one embodiment, an absorbent core may comprise a riffled substrate comprising a plurality of peaks and a plurality of troughs, a flat substrate coupled to the riffled substrate, and superabsorbent polymer disposed between the riffled substrate and the flat substrate, wherein the footprint of the riffled substrate is substantially the same as the footprint of the flat substrate, and wherein the surface area of the riffled substrate is greater than the surface area of the flat substrate.
DIAPER BAND WITH CENTRAL INNER-FACING HOOK FABRIC AND SECURE REAR HOOK AND LOOP FABRIC CLOSURE
A diaper band for ensuring that a toddler cannot remove a diaper secured thereby. The diaper band has central inner-facing hook fabric that can be attached to the fabric on the front of a typical diaper (disposable or reusable). The diaper band also has ends bearing hook and loop material that are securable to the back of the diaper behind the back of the toddler, to ensure that the toddler cannot detach the diaper band. The diaper band securely covers the attachment tabs of the diaper, so that the toddler cannot undo the diaper tabs. The central inward-facing hook fabric can be one or more material patches that are big enough to grab onto the front fabric of the diaper, the same front fabric for attaching the diaper tabs. Alternatively, the central inward-facing hook material region can extend along the entire length of the diaper band.
BELTED ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A belted disposable article including a chassis having first and second end portions and a central portion extending therebetween, the article having a body-oriented surface facing the user during use and a garment-oriented surface facing away from the user in use, the article further including a pair of belt portions attached to the chassis so that a first belt portion and a second belt portion extending on each side of the first end portion of the chassis for securing to each other around a waist of a wearer of the article to form a belt having an exterior surface. In addition, a belt-opening trigger zone is disposed adjacent a free end of at least one of the first and second belt portion. Further, the first and second belt portions are folded over the chassis to form a folded belt configuration prior to use of the article.
SHORT FIBER NONWOVEN FABRIC, LOOP MEMBER FOR SURFACE FASTENER, AND SANITARY ARTICLE
One of challenges to be overcome is providing short-fiber nonwoven and loop component with appropriate balance of air-permeability and softness. One of solutions is loop component for mechanical fastener including top layer comprising short-fiber nonwoven and substrate layer comprising short-fiber nonwoven, wherein ratio [average fineness (denier) of the top layer] against [average fineness (denier) of the substrate layer] is 1.5-30, softness of the substrate is less than 60 mm in MD direction and less than 50 mm in CD direction by 45 degree cantilever method, and air permeability of the substrate is 10 to 100 cm3/sec*cm2 by Frajour type method.
Disposable absorbent articles having cuffs of improved stretch laminate structure
An absorbent article having longitudinal cuffs of improved structure is disclosed. The improved cuffs may be elasticized by a plurality of elastic strands that are substantially greater in number, closer in spacing, lower in pre-strain, and lower in decitex, or any combination of these, as compared with those in conventional articles. This combination of features results in ruffles or gathers of cuff material joined to the elastic strands that are substantially greater in machine-direction frequency and substantially lesser in z-direction amplitude, than those in conventional articles. As a result, the cuff structure lies more closely and evenly against the wearer's skin, has an improved, more cloth-like appearance, provides improved gasketing, and provides improved wearer comfort, as compared with cuff structures in conventional articles. A method for manufacturing articles with such cuff structures, utilizing a warp beam as a supply mechanism, is also disclosed.
Shaped fastening members and absorbent articles having the same
The present invention relates to a fastening member comprising a base pane, a closure member extending laterally from the base panel, the closure member comprising a closure member upper edge and a closure member lower edge, and a fastening element disposed on the closure member, the fastening element comprising a fastening element upper edge and a fastening element lower edge, wherein the closure member upper edge comprises a concave portion along the fastening element upper edge and the closure member lower edge comprises a convex portion along the fastening element lower edge, and wherein the closure member extends upwardly laterally.
