Zoned insulation garment

Aspects herein relate to a garment having zoned insulation features. The zoned insulation features comprise projections that extend in the z-direction with respect to the surface of a base material forming the garment such that the projections face toward a body surface of a wearer when the garment is worn. The number and/or size of the projections may vary over the garment depending on the amount of insulation needed in different areas of the garment.

CHAINMAILLE LAYOUT TOOL AND METHODS OF MAKING CHAINMAILLE USING A LAYOUT TOOL

Layout tools for making chainmaille. The tool has a substrate with grooves, cuts, or slots formed through a top surface thereof. Each pair of cuts forms a generally v-shaped pattern along a length of the top surface. Each of the pairs of the cuts are spaced apart, have a length, and form an angle that provides a straight line path that intersects at least four of the cuts configured to receive rings to form a chainmaille. Another tool also has a substrate with grooves, cuts, or slots formed through a top surface thereof. Each cut passes through a common point. Each cut has a length corresponding to a diameter of a ring, and each of the cuts has a depth that is a function of at least the number of rings and a wire diameter of the rings.

Durable Weather Garment

Disclosed is a garment comprising a hooded-coat and overalls designed for improved durability and comfort. The garment is waterproof throughout. The coat has an outer layer of Kevlar fabric in the abdominal region, the outer edges of the sleeves, and along the hem. The overalls have an outer layer of Kevlar fabric on the front of the legs and on the seat. The hood and coat sections each have light reflective stripes for greater visibility and safety. There are also built in knee pads, pockets, and openings for comfort, storage, and ventilation. The garment is particularly well suited for outdoor workers exposed to weather extremes and hard, abrasive contact with the environment.

The jersey knitting may provide an intermediate level of warmth and breathability.
