DISPOSABLE UNDERGARMENT AND RELATED DISPOSAL METHODS
A disposable undergarment is disclosed which includes a main body having an absorbent core, a first side and a second side. The main body has a top sheet and a liquid-impermeable back sheet formed from polypropylene. The main body also has a front portion, a rear portion, and a crotch portion, and each of the front and rear portions has a top edge. The undergarment also has first and second elastic extensions each having a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal ends of the first and second extensions are ultrasonically bonded to the main body. The undergarment further has first and second attachment areas, each having a plurality of engaging elements, secured to the liquid permeable top sheet. The engaging elements engage with the first and second elastic extensions to secure the undergarment at least about 0.5 inches below said wearer's waist.
Wearable article with outwardmost layer of multicomponent fiber nonwoven providing enhanced mechanical features
A fastening system comprising a nonwoven web material operable to fastenably engage a fastening component is disclosed. The nonwoven web material may comprising multicomponent fibers having a polyolefin component and a polyamide component, and a machine direction bias. The nonwoven web material may bear an impressed pattern of thermal bonds having an average frequency along any line that can be identified in the machine direction, of at least 0.5 bonds per cm.

ELASTIC FILM LAMINATE AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
An elastic panel for use in an absorbent article including a first nonwoven web layer, a second nonwoven web layer and an elastomeric film layer disposed between the first and second nonwoven layers. At least one of the first and second nonwoven web layers includes at least one group of folded portions. Each folded portion includes a first fold line and a second fold line so that the folded portion is divided into a proximal section, a distal section and a medial section disposed between the proximal and distal sections. The proximal section is directly attached to the elastomeric film layer and the medial and distal sections are not directly attached to the elastomeric film layer so that the folded portions extend to allow the web panel to stretch elastically.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING SENSORS
A sensor system for detecting a property of or within an absorbent article may comprise an absorbent article and a sensor. The absorbent article may comprise a garment-facing layer and an absorbent assembly. The sensor may be disposed in and/or on the absorbent article. The sensor may be separable from the absorbent article. The sensor may be configured to sense a change in condition within the absorbent article.
Refastenable absorbent article
An absorbent article is provided that comprises a front waist region, a back waist region, a crotch region disposed between the front waist region and the back waist region, a front waist end edge, a back waist end edge, a longitudinal axis extending from a mid-point of the front waist end edge to a mid-point of the back waist end edge, a first longitudinally extending side edge, a second longitudinally extending side edge, an exterior surface, an interior surface, a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the backsheet and the topsheet. A portion of the front waist region and a portion of the back waist region are joined in a surface to surface relationship to form a pant comprising a first permanent side edge seam and a laterally opposed second permanent side edge seam. The first and second permanent side edge seams define an initial waist opening circumference and a pair of leg openings. The absorbent article comprises a first fastening component comprising a first fastening surface and a first attachment surface. The absorbent article comprises a second fastening component comprising a second fastening surface. The initial waist opening circumference formed by the first and second permanent side edge seams is configured to be opened. The first fastening surface and the second fastening surface are configured to be refastenably engaged and separated with each other.
