ROTATION RESTRICTING STRUCTURE AND ILLUMINATION APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
20190353983 · 2019-11-21 ·

A rotation restricting structure includes a main body a rotator rotatable with respect to the main body, and a rotation restricting member which restricts rotation of the rotator, wherein the rotator includes a rotating plate which rotates with rotation of the rotator with respect to the main body, one of the rotating plate or the main body has a protrusion portion, the rotation restricting member has a contacting portion contactable with the protrusion portion and a rotational shaft which is pivotally supported by the other of the rotating plate or the main body, the protrusion portion contacts the contacting portion by rotation of the rotator, thereby the rotational angle range of the rotator being restricted, and a position of the contacting portion provided on the rotation restricting member is different from a position of the rotational shaft provided on the rotation restricting member.

The sandbox may be configured to control access to at least one of a hardware resource and a software resource. The hub is further configured to identify the patient-care device and execute an application to monitor the patient-care device. The hub executes the application within the sandbox component such that the application accesses the at least one of the hardware resource and the software resource through the sandbox component. The hub may be further configured to control the patient-care device. The hub may be further configured to receive an identification from the patient-care device and download the application from a server associated with the identification. The hub may be further configured to receive an identification from the patient-care device and update the application from a server associated with the identification.

Illumination apparatus capable of making determination on radiating direction of flash and control method therefor
10423050 · 2019-09-24 · ·

An illumination apparatus which is capable of appropriately determining whether or not a radiating direction of a flash is deviated from a direction targeted by a user and preventing degradation in user convenience. The illumination apparatus has a movable unit that has a light-emitting unit, and a main body unit that holds the movable unit rotatably in a predetermined direction. A present angle of the movable unit with respect to the main body unit is detected, and a difference between the present angle and a target angle to which the movable unit is to be moved is obtained. When the difference is smaller than a threshold value, it is determined that there is no angular deviation of the movable unit. The threshold value used in the determination varies with the target angle.

Image pickup apparatus capable of performing automatic bounce drive control, image pickup system, automatic irradiation direction control method, and storage medium
10412304 · 2019-09-10 · ·

An image pickup apparatus capable of preventing degradation of user-friendliness during execution of automatic bounce drive control. A strobe device can change an irradiation direction of light from a strobe head. The automatic bounce drive control determines an irradiation direction of the light based on a result of ranging of a target object, and drives the strobe head in the determined irradiation direction. When a switch unrelated to the automatic bounce drive control is operated during execution of the control, out of control related to an operation of the switch and the automatic bounce drive control, the automatic bounce drive control is preferentially executed, whereas when a switch related to the automatic bounce drive control is operated during execution of the control, out of the control related to an operation of the switch and the automatic bounce drive control, control related to the operation of the switch is preferentially executed.

ELECTRONIC FLASH, ELECTRONIC CAMERA AND LIGHT EMITTING HEAD
20190253684 · 2019-08-15 · ·

An electronic camera having an electronic flash including a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that emit different wavelength light is disclosed. Electric energy is supplied to a capacitor to the LEDs. A system controller controls light emitting amounts of the LEDs so that a color temperature of the electronic flash light becomes a color temperature that has been manually set with a color temperature setting switch or a color temperature of a light source determined by color temperature sensors.

Flash lamp, electronic device having the flash lamp and method for controlling the flash lamp

A method for controlling a flash lamp of a camera to provide supplemental light during image-capturing is disclosed. The flash lamp includes a lamp and a position adjusting unit, the lamp being able to track a moving target object in addition to being able to apply spotlighting or wide angle illumination of the object. The method acquires a first brightness value surrounding a target object from a photosensitive unit, compares the value with a preset value and turns on the lamp when the value is less than the preset value. The camera can detect whether the target object is moving; and the lamp can be controlled to move (by the position adjusting unit) to track the moving target object and maintain illumination of it for the image-capture.
