ABSORBENT PAD COMRPISING COATED SUPERABSORBENT PARTICLES
An absorbent pad, such as a feminine hygiene article, according to the present disclosure comprises superabsorbent polymer particles (2). The superabsorbent polymer particles (2) are surface coated on an outer surface (3) with a coating agent (4), the coating agent (4) being water-soluble. The coated superabsorbent polymer particles (2) comprises an odour inhibiting substance (5) in powder form adhered to and/or mixed with the coating agent (3). The present disclosure also relates to methods of producing the absorbent pad (1).
DRESSING FOR STUMPS FOLLOWING AMPUTATION
An amputation dressing includes a wound contact layer that includes a central panel and three or more petals extending radially from the central panel. The wound contact layer also includes a tube of elastic material twisted to form a point. The point is located substantially centrally along a length of the tube. The tube of elastic material is coupled to the central panel proximate the point. The tube is rolled from a first end of the tube to the point to form a first roll and from a second end of the tube to the point to form a second roll.
ANTISENSE OLIGOMERS FOR CONTROLLING CANDIDA ALBICANS INFECTIONS
The present disclosure relates to the use of antisense oligomers in the treatment or therapy of Candida albicans infections. The present disclosure further describes the use of antisense oligomers in antisense therapy to inhibit the morphological transition of Candida albicans from yeast to filamentous form.
Hygiene Pad
The present invention is a multi-layer hygiene pad infused with graphene.
Methods and products for dynamic control of environments by selective metabolic function of microbes
Methods and products for maintaining a target pH range of an environment including at least one organism are provided. A method can include releasing a carbon source to the environment. A method can further include allowing the carbon source to be metabolized by the at least one organism and lower a pH of the environment. The method can also include releasing a nitrogen source to the environment. The method can additionally include allowing the nitrogen source to be metabolized by the at least one organism and increase the pH of the environment. The releasing of the carbon source to the environment and the releasing of the nitrogen source to the environment can be selectively timed to control the pH of the environment to the target pH range of the environment.
Antimicrobial Diapering Device
An antimicrobial diapering device for one or more of inhibiting growth of a microorganism and killing a microorganism includes a diaper for diapering a user. The diaper comprises an outer layer, an inner layer, and a medial layer. The outer layer is substantially impervious to water. The inner layer is porous or wicking. The inner layer is impregnated with one or more of honey, an anthraquinone, and curcumin. The one or more of the honey, the anthraquinone, and the curcumin effect one or more of inhibiting growth of a microorganism and killing a microorganism. The medial layer is hydrophilic and is positioned between the outer layer and the inner layer. The medial layer absorbs moisture from urine and feces.
Absorbent article with graphics printed in preservative-free ink, and methods of manufacture thereof
Absorbent articles having components bearing graphics printed using particular inkjet ink compositions and fluid sets are disclosed. The aqueous inkjet ink compositions may have a dynamic viscosity ≤5 centipoise (5 mPa-sec) at 25° C., and include: (a) a polymer-dispersed pigment colorant at 0.9-6 weight %; (b) a composition consisting of one or more compounds represented by the following Structure (I):
HO—CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—R (I)
wherein R may be a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted phenoxy group, at 0.5-2 weight %; and (c) a water-soluble humectant, co-solvents, or both, at 20 weight %. Each colorant may have a 50th percentile particle diameter ≤70 nm and a 95th percentile particle diameter ≤150 nm. Replenishment or maintenance fluids containing a Structure (I) compound may also be used. Methods for printing using the aqueous inkjet ink compositions and the fluid sets are also disclosed.
MALODOR COUNTERACTANT COMPOSITION AND METHODS
The present invention relates to compositions and methods for malodor reduction. The malodor control compositions are suitable for use in a variety of applications, including use in consumer products, for example, air freshening compositions, laundry detergents, fabric enhancers, surface cleaners, beauty care products, dish care products, diapers, feminine protection articles, animal and pet litter compositions and plastic films for garbage bags. Such malodor control technologies do not unduly interfere with the scent of the perfumed or unperfumed situs that is treated with the malodor control technology.
Absorbent article
The absorbent article comprises at least a topsheet layer and a backsheet layer, each layer having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface, and longitudinal and transversal edges, the article having a longitudinal front portion, a longitudinal back portion and a crotch portion located between the front and the back portion. The article comprises a first and a second zone of microencapsulated phase change material on a surface of a layer of the article. The first and second zones are selected form zones having different microencapsulated phase change materials, different concentrations of a microencapsulated phase change material or comprise microencapsulated phase change material having different phase change temperature intervals.
Absorbent pad for a garment
An absorbent pad for use in a garment is disclosed. The absorbent pad includes a liquid impermeable barrier layer and a functional layer disposed adjacent to the barrier layer, the functional layer having a liquid absorbent component. The absorbent pad also includes a first attaching element coupled to a periphery of the functional layer and a periphery of the barrier layer; and a second attaching element having a first portion and a second portion, wherein the first portion coupled to the first attaching element. The second portion of the second attaching element is arranged to be attached to a fabric body of the garment, thereby attaching the absorbent pad to the garment. The absorbent pad is washable and reusable.
