System, apparatus, and method for monitoring and promoting patient mobility
A method is provided which includes providing a sensor operable to measure movement over time on a user. The sensor includes an alert unit. The sensor is configured with a threshold to activate the alert unit when the measured movement over time is below the threshold. The measurements of movement over time are obtained, and it is determined whether the measured movement over time is below the threshold. When the measured movement is below the threshold, the alert unit at the sensor is activated to alert the user.
HEALTH CONDITION SENSOR
A sensor for detecting the presence of a health condition in a patient, the sensor comprising an absorbent garment or pad, a transmitter including one or more processors, and at least one conductor comprising one or more segments that are separated by absorbent material of the absorbent garment or pad, with the at least one conductor including one or more health condition sensors, where the at least one conductor is configured to detect wetness in the absorbent garment or pad, and where the one or more health condition sensors are configured to detect a urinary health condition in the wetness. Monitoring devices, systems, and methods for detecting a health condition in a patient's urine employing such sensors and health condition sensors are further disclosed.
DEVICE, APPARATUS AND METHOD OF DETERMINING SKIN PERFUSION PRESSURE
Disclosed embodiments relate to apparatuses and methods for a skin perfusion pressure determination device. In some embodiments, a skin perfusion pressure determination device can include a sensor module having a first sensor for sensing a first parameter associated with a pressure exerted on a target area by the sensor module and a second sensor for sensing a second parameter associated with an amount of blood perfusion at the target area. In some embodiments, the first sensor and the second sensor can be arranged such that, when the sensor module is pressed against the target area the first sensor produces an output corresponding to the sensed first parameter and the second sensor produces an output corresponding to the sensed second parameter.
Collection device for diagnostics of vaginal discharge
A method of analyzing vaginal fluid includes collecting vaginal fluid in a vaginal fluid collecting system and transporting the collected vaginal fluid to a location for analysis. The analysis can be stored in and retrieved from a secure cloud storage data base.
ABSORBENT HYGIENIC ARTICLES WITH SENSORS AND BIOCOMPOSTABLE ELEMENTS
Absorbent articles with biodegradable and/or biocompostable elements are disclosed, wherein the absorbent articles include sensors. The sensors detect and determine variables associated with collected fluids, solids, and gases, including a presence of fluids, solids, and gases, a volume of fluids, solids, and gases, and/or a distribution of fluids, solids, and gases. In one embodiment, the sensors and/or connected computing systems are calibrated to capacities and other properties of elements within the articles, including superabsorbent polymers, and are operable to trigger an alert based on detected or determined conditions.
System and method for non-invasive analysis of bodily fluids
A vaginal fluid monitoring device includes an absorbent layer, wherein the absorbent layer is configured to be in proximity to flow of vaginal fluid; an electrochemical detection system configured to obtain data regarding at least one analyte in a vaginal fluid, said electrochemical detection system in fluid communication with the absorbent layer; and wherein the vaginal fluid monitoring device is configured to be coupled with a feminine hygiene product.
ABSORBANT LIQUID MEASUREMENT ARTICLE
A liquid measurement article includes an absorbent wicking layer and a marking cluster having at least one mark whose location on the article is calibrated to correspond to a particular quantity of liquid having been deposited on the article at a liquid receiving site thereof and having wicked toward the mark. A label associated with at least one of the marks indicates the particular quantity.
Garment
A garment comprising a right leg passageway and a left leg passageway and a trunk portion. The trunk portion has an opening with an edge there through with an associated flap which overlaps the edge of the trunk portion. The trunk portion has at least one coupling strip placed adjacent the edge of the trunk portion opening. The flap has a coupling strip and an absorbent area having an absorbent material being fixedly attached to the absorbent area.
METHOD FOR FABRICATING ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A method for fabricating an absorbent article on which a conductive paste with good conductivity and adhesion is printed or coated and which is capable of receiving excretions discharged from a user's body is proposed. The method can include: a PEDOT dispersion polymerization step in which a 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) monomer is polymerized using a dispersion polymerization method to produce poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) nanoparticles; a step in which, after polymerization of the PEDOT nanoparticles is completed, residual dispersion stabilizer and oxidizer are removed and the PEDOT nanoparticles are recovered; a step in which the recovered PEDOT nanoparticles are produced into a conductive paste; and a step in which the conductive paste based on the PEDOT nanoparticles is printed or coated.
Automatic detection of human physiological phenomena
Introduced here is technology to monitor moisture levels in a hygiene product, such as tampons, pads, menstrual cups, child diapers, adult diapers etc. According to one embodiment, a moisture sensor is inserted inside a feminine hygiene product. The moisture sensor is connected to a wearable device that gathers the moisture data and sends the data to a mobile device, such as a cell phone. The cell phone generates notifications to the user, such as percentage saturation of the feminine hygiene product, message to change the feminine hygiene product, expected start and end dates of the next menstrual cycle, etc. According to another embodiment, the moisture sensor can be inserted in other hygiene products, such as child diapers or adult diapers, to measure the amount of urination, defecation, or other excretions, and to generate notifications to the user, the user's caretaker, or a third party.
