Feminine Hygiene Article
Feminine hygiene articles are disclosed herein. The feminine hygiene articles described herein can provide easily discernible placement and orientation guides which reduce the likelihood of misapplication by the user, facilitated attachment guides which can reduce the likelihood of misapplication of the feminine pad, and can also reduce the likelihood of improper attachment of the feminine pad to a panty. The feminine hygiene articles disclosed include uniquely shaped wings which can provide cues on proper attachment of the article to the panty and may help in providing sustained coverage of the feminine hygiene article to the panty which reduces the likelihood that the pad will become detached during use.
Apertured webs and methods for making the same
A patterned apertured web includes a plurality of land areas in the patterned apertured web and a plurality of apertures defined in the patterned apertured web. At least some of the land areas surround at least some of the apertures. The patterned apertured web has an Effective Open Area in the range of about 5% to about 50%, according to the Aperture Test. The patterned apertured web has a plurality of Interaperture Distances, according to the Aperture Test. The Interaperture Distances have a distribution having a median and a mean. The mean is greater than the median.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR MAKING ELASTOMERIC LAMINATES
The present disclosure relates to methods for making elastomeric laminates that may be used as components of absorbent articles. Aspects of the methods for assembling elastomeric laminates may utilize elastic strands supplied from beams that may be joined with first and second substrates, and may be configured to carry out various types of operations, such as bonding and splicing operations.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE HAVING FASTENING SYSTEM
An absorbent article has a first waist region, a second waist region, a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions; and a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. The article also includes a primary fastening system and secondary fastening system. The primary fastening system has a primary fastening component disposed in the second waist region and a primary receiving component disposed in the first waist region and operatively engageable with the primary fastening component. The secondary fastening system includes a secondary fastening component disposed in the first waist region and a secondary receiving component disposed in the second waist region and operatively engageable with the secondary fastening component. The article further includes a graphic at least partially overlapping the secondary fastening component.
Methods and apparatuses for making elastomeric laminates with elastic strands
The present disclosure relates to methods for making elastomeric laminates that may be used as components of absorbent articles. In particular, discrete mechanical bonds are applied to a first substrate and a second substrate to secure elastic strands therebetween, wherein the discrete bonds are arranged intermittently along the machine direction. During the bonding process, heat and pressure are applied to the first substrate and the second substrate such that malleable materials of the first and second substrates deform to completely surround an outer perimeter of a discrete length of the stretched elastic strand. After removing the heat and pressure from the first and second substrates, the malleable materials harden to define a bond conforming with a cross sectional shape defined by the outer perimeter of the stretched elastic strand.
Array of disposable absorbent articles having a sequence of graphics corresponding to a wearer's stages of development
An array of disposable absorbent articles comprising a sequence of graphic designs corresponding to a wearer's stage of development.
SENSOR SYSTEMS COMPRISING AUXILIARY ARTICLES
A sensor system for detecting a property of or within an absorbent article may comprise an absorbent article and an auxiliary article.
Apparatuses and methods for making absorbent articles
The present disclosure relates to printing graphics onto advancing substrates in diaper converting lines, wherein first graphics having relatively low print resolutions and second graphics having relatively high print resolutions may be both printed onto advancing substrates. During the assembly process, localized speed variances may be imparted to the advancing substrates to achieve the different print resolutions. In some configurations, first graphics with relatively low print resolutions may be printed onto the substrate while advancing at relatively high speeds, and second graphics with relatively high print resolutions may be printed onto portions of the substrate that have been temporarily stopped or slowed to relatively slow speed. The printed substrates may then be incorporated into assembled diapers so as place the graphics in desired positions on the diapers.
HIP-TO-WAIST AND WAIST-TO-CROTCH SILHOUETTE(S) OF ABSORBENT ARTICLE(S) COMPRISING BEAMED ELASTICS
The present disclosure relates to absorbent articles comprising belts comprising one or more pluralities of tightly spaced (less than 4 mm, less than 3 mm, less than 2 mm, and less than 1 mm) and/or low decitex (less than 300, less than 200, less than 100 dtex) and/or low strain (less than 300%, less than 200%, less than 100%) elastics to deliver low pressure less than 1 psi (according to the conditions defined by the Pressure-Under-Strand Test in the Method below) under the elastics, while providing adequate modulus of (between about 2 gf/mm and 15 gf/mm), resulting in a Product Hip-to-Waist Silhouette from about 0.8 to about 1.1 and a Product Waist-to-Crotch Silhouette from about 0.8 to about 2.0 to provide for the advantages described above.
