The present invention relates to new triazine photoinitiators, a new process for their preparation, and a photopolymer composition comprising a photopolymerizable component and the new triazine photoinitiators. Further aspects of the present invention are a photopolymer comprising said photopolymer composition, a holographic medium which comprises such a photopolymer, a hologram comprising the holographic medium, and a device such a display, chip card, security document, bank note and/or holographic optical element comprising said hologram.

The invention relates to a photopolymer formulation comprising a component reactive toward isocyanates, a polyisocyanate component, a writing monomer and a photoinitiator containing at least one dye and a coinitiator, characterized in that the coinitiator contains at least one substance of the formula (Ia) ##STR00001## The invention further provides a process for preparing the specific coinitiators and the coinitiators obtainable by this process, and additionally a process for producing a holographic medium using the specific coinitiators, and a holographic medium obtainable using the inventive photopolymer formulation. The invention further relates to a laminate structure comprising an inventive holographic medium and likewise specific borates suitable as coinitiators.

A hologram recording composition includes at least: a photopolymerizable compound containing at least a first photopolymerizable monomer; binder resin that is inactive to photopolymerization; and a photopolymerization initiator. A change in polarity of the first photopolymerizable monomer by photopolymerization reduces compatibility with the binder resin of the photopolymerizable compound than that before polymerization, the compatibility of the photopolymerizable compound before the polymerization being high.

The present invention provides a photosensitive resin composition, comprising: (a) photo-polymerizable unsaturated compound, (b) hydroxyurethane compound, and (c) photoinitiator. The photosensitive resin composition can be used as photoresist coating for dry film photoresist to manufacture the electronic components, such as print circuit board and so on. Further, the (b) hydroxyurethane compound having [CC]/[NH.sub.2] between 0.5 and 0.9, which increases the resolution, adhesion, and stripping ability of photosensitive resin composition for dry film photoresist, and improves the effectiveness and the quality of dry film photoresist for manufacturing printed circuit board and other electric component.

The present invention provides a photosensitive resin composition, comprising: (a) photo-polymerizable unsaturated compound, (b) hydroxyurethane compound, and (c) photoinitiator. The photosensitive resin composition can be used as photoresist coating for dry film photoresist to manufacture the electronic components, such as print circuit board and so on. Further, the (b) hydroxyurethane compound having [CC]/[NH.sub.2] between 0.5 and 0.9, which increases the resolution, adhesion, and stripping ability of photosensitive resin composition for dry film photoresist, and improves the effectiveness and the quality of dry film photoresist for manufacturing printed circuit board and other electric component.

A photosensitive resin printing plate precursor is disclosed for relief printing, including a support, a photosensitive resin layer, and a cover film stacked in this order, wherein the photosensitive resin layer comprises a lower layer present on a support side and an upper layer present on a cover-film side, wherein the upper layer is a photosensitive resin layer that contains a water-soluble or water-dispersible resin (A) having a glass transition temperature measured by differential scanning calorimeter of 40 to 90 C., wherein the upper layer has a thickness of 3 to 30 micrometers, wherein the lower layer is a layer that contains a water-soluble or water-dispersible resin (B) having a glass transition temperature higher than the glass transition temperature of the water-soluble or water-dispersible resin (A) by 5 C. or more, and wherein the glass transition temperature of the resin (B) measured by differential scanning calorimeter is 95 to 135 C.
