An optical print head comprises a first light emitting element row which includes first light emitting elements arranged in a row in a first direction; a second light emitting element row which includes second light emitting elements arranged in a row in the first direction a first drive circuit which drives each first light emitting element with identical first current value and drives each first light emitting element at a light emitting time corresponding to each target gradation value; and a second drive circuit, in response to transmittance of a light passing position of the rod lens array, which drives each second light emitting element with identical second current value and drives each second light emitting element at a light emitting time corresponding to each target gradation value, wherein the second current value is different from the first current value.

An exposure head includes a light emitting board group, a first lens array, and a second lens array. The light emitting board group disposes a plurality of light emitting boards each including a plurality of light emitting elements disposed side by side in a second direction intersecting with the first direction. The plurality of light emitting boards are disposed along the second direction and alternately in the first direction. The light emitting board group includes a first light emitting board group and a second light emitting board group. The first lens array condenses light emitted from the plurality of light emitting elements disposed on the first light emitting board group onto the surface of the image bearing member. The second lens array condenses light emitted from the plurality of light emitting elements disposed on the second light emitting board group onto the surface of the image b earing member.

An exposure head includes a first light emitting board group, a first lens array, a second light emitting board group, and a second lens array. The first light emitting board group is disposing a plurality of first light emitting boards each including a plurality of first light emitting elements disposed side by side in a second direction intersecting with the first direction. The plurality of first light emitting boards are disposed along the second direction and alternately in the first direction. The first lens array condenses light emitted from the plurality of first light emitting elements disposed on the first light emitting board group onto the surface of the image bearing member. The second light emitting board group is disposed in a manner separated with respect to the first light emitting board group in the first direction.

A light emitting device includes: a member having a first surface facing in one direction and a second surface facing an opposite side to the first surface; a light emitter that is disposed at the first surface, generates heat due to light emission, and has a lower stiffness than the member; and a heater that is disposed at the second surface of the member, and heats the member from the second surface.

An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member, a frame member including a support surface and made of metal, an exposure unit disposed such that an emission direction in which the light is emitted to the image bearing member is inclined with respect to the support surface, a support member made of metal and configured to support the exposure unit that is in an inclined posture with respect to the support surface, and a positioning member made of resin and configured to be in contact with the exposure unit and position the exposure unit. The support surface of the frame member is in contact with at least one of the support member or the positioning member, and wherein the exposure unit is configured to be attached to the frame member via the support member and the positioning member.

A lens array unit includes a lens array including a plurality of lenses, a first side plate, and a second side plate, the first side plate and the second side plate being configured to hold the plurality of lenses therebetween, and a frame made of resin and including a first supporting portion and a second supporting portion, the first supporting portion being in contact with an outside surface of the first side plate, the second supporting portion being in contact with an outside surface of the second side plate, the first supporting portion and the second supporting portion being configured to hold the lens array therebetween and support the lens array. The outside surface of the first side plate includes a plurality of first concave portions spaced from each other in an array direction of the lenses and configured to fit with the first supporting portion.

This invention relates to a media exposing device for exposing media. The media exposure device includes a holding structure; a substrate having a plurality of diodes mounted thereon; and a radiation modification element for modifying the radiation emitted by the diodes. The substrate and the radiation modification element are secured by the holding structure in an arrangement wherein the diodes can emit radiation from the device and wherein the radiation modification element is spaced from the diodes in the radiation path of the diodes; and a telecentric lens secured to the holding structure in an arrangement wherein the telecentric lens is substantially in register with the radiation path of the diodes.

An exposure device includes a first light emitting element substrate including a plurality of first light emitting elements arranged at an arrangement interval T in a longitudinal direction, and a second light emitting element substrate including a part in the longitudinal direction that overlaps with a part of the first light receiving element substrate so as to form an overlapping region. The first and second light emitting element substrates are shifted from each other in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The second light emitting element substrate includes a plurality of second light emitting elements arranged in the longitudinal direction. The second light emitting elements are arranged at the arrangement interval T at least outside the overlapping region. When an interval between two of the second light emitting elements of the second light emitting element substrate disposed in the overlapping region is expressed as a specified interval TS, the specified interval TS and the arrangement interval T satisfy:

An exposure unit includes first and second exposure heads. The first exposure head includes: first light emitting devices each emitting a first light beam; a first optical system performing imaging of each of the first light beams; a first coupler; and a first base member. The first coupler is provided at a first position, in the first base member, based on a position at which the imaging performed by the first optical system is performed. The second exposure head includes: second light emitting devices each emitting a second light beam; a second optical system performing imaging of each of the second light beams; a second coupler; and a second base member. The second coupler is provided at a second position, in the second base member, based on a position at which the imaging performed by the second optical system is performed and is fit into the first coupler.
