INK DOSING
In one example of the disclosure, a first measurement of actual quantity of ink in a target cartridge is taken utilizing a scale. An incremental dosage quantity be deposited into the target cartridge in a dosing pass is determined based upon a desired quantity, the actual quantity, and an undershoot safety factor. A valve is opened to enable a pressure deposit of the incremental dosage quantity of ink to the target cartridge, and then closed. A residue cutter is utilized to scrape the valve and thereby make a scraper deposit of ink to the target cartridge. A second measurement of actual quantity of ink in the target cartridge is taken utilizing the scale. An additional dosage pass is performed if the second measurement is not within an accepted variance of the desired quantity. The making of dosing passes is discontinued if the second measurement is within the accepted variance.
DEVELOPING DEVICE
In a developer receiving portion 45, a receiving port 51 for receiving a liquid developer and a discharging port 57 for permitting discharge of the received liquid developer. A film forming electrode 44 is provided opposed to a developing roller 41 with a predetermined gap G and forms a film, on a surface of the developing roller 41, of the liquid developer supplied to the predetermined gap G through the discharging port 57. Further, the developer receiving portion 45 includes a partition plate 47 which partitions an inside space 45a, filled with the liquid developer supplied through the receiving port 51, into a first chamber 61 on the receiving port 51 side and a second chamber 62 on the discharging port 57 side. The partition plate 47 is provided with a plurality of communication ports 50 formed with respect to a liquid developer so as to communicate the first chamber 61 and the second chamber 62 with each other.
LAYER THICKNESS IN PRINT AGENT CONCENTRATION APPARATUS
In an example, a method includes providing a print agent with chargeable particles in a carrier fluid to a print agent concentration apparatus. The print agent may be passed between a conveyor and an electrode, and a potential applied to cause the chargeable particles to be attracted to the conveyor and to form a concentrated layer of particles on the conveyor. An indicator of particle concentration in the concentrated layer may be measured. It may be determined if the indicator of particle concentration meets predetermined criteria.
Printing liquids concentration
An example method includes concentrating first printing liquid on a conveyor. Concentrating the first printing liquid produces liquid carrier having a low non-volatile solid concentration. The method also includes concentrating the liquid carrier having the low non-volatile solid concentration on a developer roller. Concentrating the liquid carrier having the low non-volatile solid concentration produces liquid carrier substantially free of non-volatile solids. The method also includes delivering the liquid carrier substantially free of non-volatile solids to a storage vessel.
Image forming apparatus and correction control program
An image forming apparatus includes: an image former that forms an image, which is desired by a user and different from a predetermined pattern, on a sheet; an output information detector that detects output information on a first image formed on a first sheet by the image former; and a hardware processor that: acquires an correction amount of a third image, which is formed on a third sheet after the first sheet and a second sheet, according to a detection result of the first image by the output information detector and image information on a second image formed on the second sheet after the first sheet by the image former; and controls the image former so as to correct the third image based on the correction amount acquired by the hardware processor.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a controller, and storage. The storage stores therein a coverage rate of a past image specified by a past print job. The controller includes a determining section and a first calculating section. When a new print job is received, the determining section determines whether or not to perform a running-in operation by comparing a coverage rate of a new image specified by the new print job to the coverage rate of the past image stored in the storage. The first calculating section calculates an amount of toner to be supplied from a developing section to a photosensitive drum based on the coverage rate of the new image. The running-in operation is to supply the toner in the amount calculated by the first calculating section from the developing section to the photosensitive drum before the new image is formed on a sheet.
Fixing device for setting the glossiness of the toner image
A fixing device includes: a fixing member that heats a toner image formed on a recording sheet in order to fix the toner image on the recording sheet; a pressurizing member that nips the recording sheet together with the fixing member to pressurize the toner image on the recording sheet; a heater that heats the pressurizing member; and a hardware processor that controls a heating temperature of the pressurizing member by the heater, wherein the hardware processor acquires setting of glossiness of the toner image and controls the heating temperature to be higher as the glossiness in the setting is lower.
LIQUID ELECTRO-PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTING TRANSFER DEVICES
In an example, charged particles suspended in a non-conductive fluid are fed to a transfer device. A width of a charged particles layer of uniform density on a surface of the transfer device is controlled. Charged particles are transferred from the charged particles layer to a photo imaging plate of a liquid electro-photographic printing system.
Image forming apparatus
In a case that a toner concentration of a liquid developer in a mixer is high and a liquid amount is small, when a supply flow rate of a carrier liquid by a carrier supplying pump is set, a carrier amount for concentration adjustment is preferentially assigned. Then, a remaining one is assigned to a carrier amount for liquid amount adjustment. By doing so, by a non-interacting function, a supply agent can be supplied to the mixer. That is, the carrier liquid can be supplied by decreasing the supply agent so that a liquid amount can be easily satisfied while improving followability of a toner concentration.
PRINTING BY PRINTING FLUID TRANSFER
In an example of a printing system, the amount of a printing fluid that is transferred from a developer unit onto an imaging plate is varied in order to alter the optical density of an area covered by the printing fluid.
