IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM FOR EXECUTING STAPLE PROCESSING
An image forming system includes a detection unit to detect a recording material, having an image formed thereon by an image forming unit, placed on a processing tray, a staple unit, a discharge unit, and a discharge tray. A first mode of the system is to discharge the recording material conveyed from the image forming unit to the discharge tray via the processing tray and a second mode involves waiting for instruction for executing. When the detection unit detects the recording material inserted into the processing tray in the second mode, and a recording material first mode conveying instruction is issued in a state of waiting for the executing instruction after the recording material detection, a discharge operation is performed to discharge the recording material inserted into the processing tray to the discharge tray without the staple unit executing staple processing on the recording material inserted into the processing tray.
FINISHER WITH MANUAL BINDING/FOLDING STRUCTURE
Provided is a finisher including a post-processor and an online suppliers. The post processor including a binding path, a binding unit to perform any one or combination of processes of a saddle stitching process and a folding process on a sheet-type medium on the binding path, and a manual supply slot to manually be supplied with the sheet-type medium towards the binding path. The online supplier to receive the sheet-type medium from an external device and supply the sheet-type medium to the binding path. A housing accommodating the post-processor and the online supplier and including an online supply slot to receive the sheet-type medium through the online supply slot from the external device.
Binding unit and binding device
A binding unit is a binding unit used in staple-less binding in which mediums are bound by being interposed between binding units having plural recesses and projections in a thickness direction of a bundle of the mediums, in which, among the plural projections, a tip end of a projecting portion, which is at a central portion in an arrangement direction of the projections, protrudes further than a projecting portion disposed at a position different from the central portion.
HOT-MELT ADHESIVE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING BONDED ARTICLE
A hot-melt adhesive comprising a thermoplastic resin and a first crystalline material, wherein when in differential scanning calorimetric measurement of the hot-melt adhesive, Tc (° C.) is a peak temperature of the highest peak of exothermic peaks observed in a temperature reduction process at 10° C./min following heating to 150° C. and Tm (° C.) is a peak temperature of the highest peak of endothermic peaks observed in a temperature increasing process at 10° C./min following the temperature reduction process, Tm-Tc is 20.0 to 70.0° C., and a tetrahydrofuran-soluble matter of the hot-melt adhesive has a weight-average molecular weight Mw, as measured by gel permeation chromatography, of 100,000 to 400,000.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey a sheet, a stacking portion on which the sheet conveyed by the conveyance unit is stacked, a first regulation member configured to regulate a position of an edge portion, in a conveyance direction, of the sheet stacked on the stacking portion, a second regulation member configured to regulate a position of an edge portion, in a width direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction, of the sheet stacked on the stacking portion, a binding unit supported movably in the conveyance direction and configured to perform a binding process of binding the sheet stacked on the stacking portion, and a moving unit configured to move the second regulation member in the conveyance direction accompanied with a movement, in the conveyance direction, of the binding unit.
Sheet post-processing apparatus and image forming system equipped with same
A sheet post-processing apparatus includes a first stapler and a second stapler having different thicknesses of sheets on which a binding process can be performed. A control unit can perform a manual staple mode. If the first stapler is selected as a stapler for performing the binding process in the manual staple mode, the control unit controls the alignment member moving mechanism to move alignment members to a position defining a first insertion position for guiding the sheets to a first placing position. If the second stapler is selected, the control unit controls the alignment member moving mechanism to move the alignment members to a position defining a second insertion position for guiding the sheets to a second placing position.
Post-processing apparatus and image forming apparatus including the same
A staple unit is secured to a second movable body that is provided on a first movable body so as to be swayed. The first movable body is moved linearly in a width direction of a bundle of sheets. The second movable body includes a first engagement member and a second engagement member, and the movement of the first engagement member and the second engagement member in accordance with the linear movement of the first movable body is guided by a parallel groove, a first sway groove, and a second sway groove of a posture control unit. The first engagement member is in constant contact with the first sway groove while the first engagement member moves in the first sway groove, and the second engagement member is in constant contact with the second sway groove while the second engagement member moves in the second sway groove.
Adhesion apparatus for forming image of powder adhesive, and image forming apparatus
An adhesion apparatus includes: an image forming unit configured to form, through an electrophotographic process, an adhesive image of a powder adhesive on a sheet that is conveyed; and a control unit configured to control the image forming unit to use a first pattern in a first conveyance period, and use a second pattern different from the first pattern in a second conveyance period following the first conveyance period, as a formation pattern in an adhering section corresponding to part of a width direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the sheet.
