The present sheet conveying apparatus includes: a resist roller pair that corrects skew of a sheet conveyed from a sheet supplying unit; and a guide portion disposed at an upstream side relative to the resist roller pair in a sheet conveying direction, the guide portion including a first guide and a second guide disposed opposite to the first guide with a sheet conveying path therebetween, the second guide being located at a projection side of a curved portion formed in the sheet when a tip of the sheet is conveyed to a nip portion of the resist roller pair that is stopped, the second guide being divided into a plurality of divided guides in an axial direction of the resist roller pair, a flexible film being disposed to cover at least a portion of a space between the plurality of divided guides.

A sheet conveying apparatus includes a pair of first conveying rollers, a pair of second conveying rollers provided at a downstream of the pair of first conveying rollers in a conveying direction of a sheet, a loop being formed in the sheet when a head of the sheet conveyed by the pair of first conveying rollers butts against the pair of second conveying rollers, and a controller which executes a first control mode in which the sheet is conveyed by the pair of first conveying rollers and the pair of second conveying rollers without dissolving the loop formed in the sheet, or a second control mode in which the loop formed in the sheet is dissolved, and the sheet nipped by the pair of first conveying rollers and the pair of second conveying rollers is conveyed.
Conveyance device, image reading device, and image forming apparatus
A conveyance device includes a conveyance roller pair to convey a recording medium to an image reading position of an image reading unit. The conveyance roller pair includes a drive roller and a driven roller. The driven roller contacts the drive roller and rotates following the drive roller. The drive roller has a diameter satisfying a relation in which a detection mark on the recording medium is on a position away from a leading end of the recording medium by an integral multiple of a circumference of the drive roller in a conveyance direction of the recording medium.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a control unit configured to perform a first mode, a second mode, and a third mode. The first mode is a mode in which a sheet conveyance unit is controlled so that an arrival time from a passage of a trailing edge of a preceding sheet through a nip portion to an arrival of a leading edge of a succeeding sheet succeeding to the preceding sheet at the nip portion becomes a first time. The second mode is a mode in which the sheet conveyance unit is controlled so that the arrival time becomes a second time. The third mode is a mode in which the sheet conveyance unit is controlled so that the arrival time becomes a third time. The second time is longer than the first time, and The third time is longer than the second time.

A sheet conveying device includes a sheet loader, a sheet feeder, an optical sensor, and a rotary member. The sheet loader is configured to load a sheet. The sheet feeder is configured to feed the sheet loaded on the sheet loader. The optical sensor is configured to detect the sheet at a predetermined position on the sheet loader in a width direction of the sheet and at a predetermined position in a sheet conveyance passage in the width direction of the sheet. The rotary member is configured to rotate to a first position when the sheet is not at the predetermined position on the sheet loader and a second position when the sheet is at the predetermined position. The rotary member has a detection target portion configured to be detected by the optical sensor when the rotary member is located at the first or second position.
Sheet processing apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet processing apparatus includes a conveyance member to convey a sheet, a pair of alignment members to move relatively in a width direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the sheet by the conveyance member, so as to align a position of the sheet in the width direction, and a lower portion to support a lower surface of the sheet between the pair of alignment members in the width direction. In addition, a pair of upper portions are arranged on one side and the other side of the lower portion in the width direction and each hold an upper surface of the sheet, wherein the pair of upper portions is positioned lower than the lower portion in a plane vertical to the conveyance direction.
Conveyance device and printing apparatus
A technique that enables application of additional conveyance force to a print medium and conveyance of various sizes of print media without multi-feed is described. A conveyance device includes a feed unit, a first conveyance unit that conveys a print medium, and a second conveyance unit that conveys a print medium fed by the feed unit to the first conveyance unit, and is capable of correcting the skew of a print medium by causing the second conveyance unit to convey the print medium with its leading edge in abutment with the first conveyance unit. This conveyance device is configured to cause the feed unit to apply conveyance force to a print medium conveyed by the second conveyance unit, depending on the size of the print medium in the conveyance direction.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a recording material loading unit, a transport unit, a detector, and a controller. A recording material is loaded in the recording material loading unit. The transport unit transports the recording material from the recording material loading unit to an image forming unit that forms an image on the recording material. The detector detects a transport state of the transported recording material on a way from the recording material loading unit to the image forming unit. The controller performs control to change a position in which a user is prompted to check the transport state of the recording material and display a countermeasure method, based on a determination criterion that is determined according to (i) the transport state of the recording material detected by the detector and (ii) recording material information on the recording material.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, an oblique movement correcting portion including a first registration roller pair and a first moving portion, a reversing portion, and a re-feeding portion. The reversing portion includes a reversing roller pair and a second moving portion. The re-feeding portion includes a second registration roller pair. When an image is formed on a second surface of a sheet opposite from a first surface of the sheet, a side end position of the sheet is corrected by the second moving portion and oblique movement of the sheet is corrected, and then the side end position of the sheet is corrected again by the first moving means and the sheet is fed to the image forming portion.
Decurling device and image forming apparatus including the same
A decurling device is provided on a downstream side with respect to a fixing device in a medium transporting direction and straightens a curl formed in a medium transported to the decurling device. The decurling device includes a bending unit extending across the medium transporting direction and that bends the medium in a decurling direction by coming into contact with a leading end of the medium; and a position adjusting unit that adjusts, in a medium crosswise direction, tilt of a contact part of the bending unit, the contact part coming into contact with the leading end of the medium exited from the fixing device.
