IMAGING SYSTEM WITH CLEANING MEMBER FOR ENDLESS BELT

An imaging system includes: an endless belt, a tensioning member, a heating member, a pressing member, a cleaning member. The endless belt conveys a printing medium. The tensioning member tensions the endless belt. The heating member heats the endless belt. The pressing member presses the endless belt against the heating member. The cleaning member is located outside the endless belt, between the tensioning member and the heating member, and presses the endless belt inwardly.

In some examples, a conditioner system for a media printed by a printing system includes a media conditioning assembly comprising a heater, the media conditioning assembly to receive the media printed by the printing system after the media has been heated by a dryer in the printing system after printing has occurred on the media. Responsive to a determined moisture content of the media, the heater of the media conditioning assembly controls a temperature of the media, and the media conditioning assembly controls a speed of the media through the media conditioning assembly.

Paper ejection device and image forming apparatus

A paper ejection device includes: an ejection portion that ejects sheets of paper; a housing portion that houses the ejected sheets of paper in a sequentially stacked state; and a guiding portion that guides the sheets of paper, before being ejected, to the ejection portion while curving the sheets of paper. The housing portion is adjustable to plural angles including at least an angle at which the ejected sheets of paper are housed while being curved in a direction opposite to a direction in which the sheets of paper have been curved by the guiding portion.

CONDITIONERS

A conditioner includes a pressure roller assembly, a heating element, a drive motor, a current sensor, a plurality of print media sensors, and a controller. The heating element heats the pressure roller assembly. The drive motor rotates the pressure roller assembly. The current sensor senses a current of the heating element. The plurality of print media sensors sense the movement of print media through the conditioner. The controller is to turn off the heating element in response to any one of detecting an anomaly in the sensed movement of the print media or detecting a sensed current outside a predetermined range.

Image forming apparatus

An image forming apparatus includes a fixing unit that transports a sheet of paper carrying an unfixed image through a nip part to fix the unfixed image to the sheet, the nip part applying heat and pressure to the sheet, a first guide unit that guides transport of the sheet, the first guide unit coming into contact with a first side of the sheet leaving the nip part of the fixing unit, and a second guide unit that guides transport of the sheet, the second guide unit coming into contact with a second side of the sheet leaving the nip part of the fixing unit, the second guide unit being rotatable, the second side being opposite to the first side. The first guide unit has a guide part. The guide part includes an upstream guide part disposed upstream with respect to a sheet transport direction, and a bent guide part that is bent at an endpoint position of the upstream guide part in a direction of entry into a sheet transport passage relative to the upstream guide part. At least one portion of the second guide unit is disposed to face the bent guide part such that the at least one portion of the second guide unit is positioned within an area corresponding to a portion of the bent guide part from an upstream end to a downstream end with respect to the sheet transport direction, with a space being provided between the at least one portion of the second guide unit and the bent guide part to allow passage of the sheet.

Transport device and image forming apparatus

A transport device includes a first transport member that orbits in a predetermined direction and transports a sheet-like medium; a second transport member that forms a first sandwiching region that is curved and a second sandwiching region that is curved in a direction opposite to the first sandwiching region between the first transport member and the second transport member, and sandwiches and transports the medium in the first sandwiching region and the second sandwiching region; and a changing unit that changes a positional relationship between the first transport member and the second transport member so as to increase a width of the other of the first sandwiching region and the second sandwiching region in a transport direction of the medium without increasing a width of one of the first sandwiching region and the second sandwiching region in the transport direction of the medium.

DECURLING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

A decurling device includes: a first transport unit including a transport roller, the first transport unit that sandwiches a transported sheet and transports the transported sheet further downstream; and a second transport unit including an endless belt that is in contact with the transport roller.
