Image forming apparatus having rotatable original reading portion and cover member
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion provided with an opening portion through which a cartridge is removably mounted and a cover member opening and closing the opening portion. An original reading portion is pivotable about a first rotation axis. The cover member is pivotable about a second rotation axis parallel to the first rotation axis. A force is applied to pivot the original reading portion so that an engagement portion of the original reading portion slides on a sliding face of the cover member to apply a force from the engagement portion to the sliding face to pivot the cover member. In a cross section orthogonal to the first rotation axis, a first portion of the sliding face approaches the original reading portion from one end side on which the first and the second rotation axes are provided toward an opposite side.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A first protrusion is provided between an operation lever and a lock lever. The operation lever is for moving a pressure roller. The lock lever is provided for a sheet guide member for guiding a sheet that has passed through a fixing unit downstream in the sheet conveyance direction. The lock lever is for locking the sheet guide member at a position where the sheet guide member is engaged with a housing. The first protrusion protrudes from the sheet guide member toward an exterior cover. The first protrusion is provided with a second protrusion on the lock lever side of the first protrusion.

An image formation apparatus according to an embodiment may include: an apparatus body; an image formation unit configured to form an image; a movable unit accommodated in the apparatus body and supporting the image formation unit; a guide part configured to guide the movable unit from an inside of the apparatus body in a pull-out direction; a first rotatable member provided to the apparatus body and configured to guide the movable unit in the pull-out direction; and a second rotatable member provided to the movable unit and configured to be engaged with the guide part at a position on an upstream side of the first rotatable member in the pull-out direction. In a state where the movable unit is guided by the first rotatable member with the movable unit being moved in the pull-out direction, the second rotatable member and the guide part are disengaged from each other.

An image forming apparatus includes: a body housing; an access opening closure; a rotary member rotatable relative to the body housing; a first link member coupled to the rotary member; a second link member coupling the access opening closure to the first link member, having a first end pivotally movable relative to the access opening closure and a second end slidable along the first link member, and including a slit connecting the first end and the second end; a cutaway communicating with the slit near the second end and then turning around, and narrower than the slit; a pin mounted on the body housing and located within the slit; a boss projecting from the first end; and an elongated socket mounted on the access opening closure and receiving the boss slidably. A sliding resistance between the boss and the elongated socket is larger than between the pin and the slit.

The sheet discharged from the discharge opening is placed on the discharge tray. The discharge tray has a cleaning opening for cleaning the light emitting surface of the LED unit. The LED unit is configured to move between: a first position at which the LED unit exposes the photosensitive drum; and a second position at which the light emitting surface is closer to the cleaning opening than a state where the LED unit is located at the first position.

An image forming apparatus, including: an apparatus main body; an openable and closable member provided on the apparatus main body; an image reading portion configured to read an image of an original, the image reading portion being supported on the apparatus main body and being movable to a first position and to a second position; and a stopper member configured to move in conjunction with a movement of the image reading portion, wherein when the image reading portion is moved to the first position, the stopper member is moved to a restricting position for restricting the openable and closable member from moving from a closed position to an open position, and wherein when the image reading portion is moved to the second position, the stopper member is moved to an allowing position for allowing the openable and closable member to move from the closed position to the open position.
