Printing apparatus and control method thereof
There is provided with a printing apparatus. A printing unit prints an image on a print medium. A heating unit heats the print medium with the image printed thereon. A detection unit detects a temperature of the heating unit. A housing accommodates the printing unit and the heating unit. An openable/closable cover member is provided on the housing and covers the heating unit. A restricting unit is capable of restricting an opening operation of the cover member. A control unit controls the restricting unit so as to execute the restriction if the temperature of the heating unit exceeds a first threshold value, and release the restriction if the temperature of the heating unit is not more than a second threshold value lower than the first threshold value.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, and an opening/closing cover configured to expose an opening portion of the apparatus body by being opened. The apparatus body includes a main body frame, a plurality of conveyance units being detachably attached to the main body frame through the opening portion, a control board configured to control the plurality of conveyance units, and a relay board configured to be electrically connected to the control board. The plurality of conveyance units respectively include a plurality of first connectors. The relay board includes a plurality of second connectors that are arranged to face the opening portion and that are configured to be connected to the plurality of first connectors, the relay board being arranged at a position not interfering with attachment/detachment loci in which the plurality of conveyance units are attached to and detached from the main body frame.

An image forming apparatus includes a chassis having an opening, a cover, photosensitive members, an intermediate transfer belt, a primary-transfer member, a secondary-transfer roller, a cleaner device, an external-sheet inlet, a waste toner container, a connector, and a conveying roller, which is arranged within the feeding path to feed the recording sheet inserted through the external-sheet inlet in the feeding path. The conveying roller is mounted on the waste toner container and removable from the chassis along with the waste toner container.
Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system
A sheet processing apparatus includes: a second conveying roller pair that receives and conveys a sheet conveyed by a first conveying roller pair; a first folding roller pair that forms a first fold on the sheet; and a first rotation unit capable of rotating the second conveying roller pair and the first folding roller pair. One roller of the second conveying roller pair and one roller of the first folding roller pair are a common roller shared therebetween. The second conveying roller pair causes the sheet to be deflected and guided to the first folding roller pair, and the first folding roller pair forms the first fold on the deflected sheet by rotating the first rotation unit in a certain direction in a state in which the sheet is held by the first conveying roller pair and the second conveying roller pair.
Sensor unit and image forming apparatus
A sensor unit includes a first movable member including a member-to-be-detected, a sensor, and a second movable member. When a sheet is normally fed, the first movable member is in a first position, the member-to-be-detected is in a first phase, the second movable member is in a second position, and a functional/non-functional state of the member-to-be-detected is one state. When the sheet is not fed and the first movable member is in a second position, the member-to-be-detected is in the first phase, the second movable member is in a third position, and the functional/non-functional state is the other state. When the first movable member is in the first position and the second movable member is in a fourth position, by movement of the member-to-be-detected to a second phase, the functional/non-functional state is changed from the one state to the other state and an output of the sensor changes.

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main body, a first sheet feeding cassette, a conveyance unit and a lock member. The first sheet feeding cassette is inserted into the apparatus main body along a predetermined insertion direction and is drawn out of the apparatus main body along a drawing direction opposite to the insertion direction. In a state where the lock member is in a lock position, the first sheet feeding cassette does not interfere with the lock member to allow the first sheet feeding cassette to be inserted into the apparatus main body. In a state where the lock member is in a lock release position, the first sheet feeding cassette interferes with the lock member to inhibit the first sheet feeding cassette from being inserted into the apparatus main body.

Provided is an image heating apparatus including: a film that contacts with the recording material; a heater unit configured to be in contact with an inner surface of the film, the heater unit including a heater, and a heater support supporting the heater, wherein the heater is fixed to the heater support; a pressing roller that forms a nip together with the heater unit through the film, the nip being for nipping and conveying a recording material; a pressing member that presses the heater toward the pressing roller without through the heater support; a pressing force adjustment mechanism for adjusting pressing force in the nip; and a control portion that controls the pressing force adjustment mechanism, wherein the control portion causes the pressing force adjustment mechanism to adjust the pressing force based on temperature detected by a temperature detection member that detects temperature of the heater.
LOCK MECHANISM OF DRAWER UNIT PROVIDED IN IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
When a sheet jam is detected, a processor may perform the following process. In a case where a sheet is spanning a first conveyance path and a drawer unit, the processor maintains a lock unit in a locked state by supplying power to the lock unit via the drawer unit from a power supply without depending on whether a door is in an open state or a closed state. In a case where a sheet is not spanning the first conveyance path and the drawer unit, the processor controls supplying and disconnecting of power to the drawer unit from the power supply in accordance with whether the door is in a closed state or an open state.
Image forming apparatus including an opening/closing unit with a first closed position for forming a conveyance path
An image forming apparatus includes an opening/closing unit configured to take a first closed position and a first open position, and a rotatable member configured to take a second closed position for covering an opening to form a double-sided conveyance path, and a second open position for opening the double-sided conveyance path. The unit includes an engaging portion with a portion to be engaged, an interlock shaft rotatable with the engaging portion, and a gripping portion configured to rotate the interlock shaft, the engaging portion to position the unit at the first closed position. When the opening/closing member moves from the second closed position to the second open position, a protruding portion engages with the gripping portion of the unit positioned at the first closed position to rotate the engaging portion through the gripping portion to release the engagement to enable movement.
CONVEYANCE DEVICE
A cover stopper engages a cover engaging portion when a cover is located at a closed position and to restrict rotational movement of the cover toward an open position. A rotation guide contacts, from above, a rib engagement surface during rotational movement of the cover and to guide rotational movement of the cover between the open position and a relay position. An urging member urges the cover from the relay position toward the closed position. When the cover rotationally moves from the open position to the relay position, a rib and the rotation guide engage each other to restrict upward movement of the cover against urging force of the urging member. When the cover reaches the relay position from the open position, the rib and the rotation guide become disengaged and the cover moves to the closed position where the cover engaging portion and the cover stopper engage each other.
