TONER SUPPLY CONTROL IN IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS BY USING LINEAR REGRESSION ANALYSIS
An example operation method of an image forming apparatus includes obtaining, through a sensor in the image forming apparatus, toner data corresponding to an amount of toner remaining in a developing apparatus, obtaining, based on the toner data in every predetermined period, a linear prediction model predicting the amount of toner remaining in the developing apparatus according to a time at which the toner is supplied to the developing apparatus, predicting, based on the linear prediction model, an expected supply time required for the amount of toner remaining in the developing apparatus to reach a target level, and controlling an operation of supplying the toner to the developing apparatus according to a result of comparing the expected supply time with a predetermined reference supply time.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A shutter output portion is engaged with a shutter input portion of a developer container and supported to be displaced between an opening position and a closing position. The shutter output portion, when located at the opening position, opens a shutter of the developer container, and when located at the closing position, closes the shutter. A main interlocking mechanism causes the shutter output portion to move in conjunction with opening and closing operation of the cover portion such that the shutter output portion is displaced to the opening position when the cover portion is closed, and to the closing position when the cover portion is opened. The main interlocking mechanism includes a switch mechanism that releases an interlock between the shutter output portion and the closing operation of the cover portion in accordance with a release operation, and enables the interlock in accordance with an enabling operation.
CARTRIDGE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CARTRIDGE
A cartridge detachably attachable to an apparatus body of an image forming apparatus that forms an image on a recording medium in which a memory unit is fixed by an inexpensive adhesive member that can control adhesion force. The cartridge includes: a memory; and a memory support member that supports the memory. The memory has a semiconductor device storing information related to a cartridge, a sealing material that protects the semiconductor device, and a cartridge electrical contact configured to be electrically connectable to a body electrical contact of the image forming apparatus body for transferring information on the semiconductor device to the image forming apparatus body. The sealing material and the memory support member contain the same type of a thermoplastic resin, the sealing material and the memory support member have bonding faces, and at least parts of the bonding faces are welded and fixed by a solvent.
SEALS ON PRINT POWDERS RESERVOIRS
A print material cartridge may include a hopper to maintain an amount of print material therein; and an atmospheric pressure seal to seal the hopper from atmosphere; wherein a pressure within the hopper and sealed by the atmospheric pressure seal is lower than atmosphere.
Drive adapter
In one example, a detachable adapter to adapt a drive shaft on a printer to a drive mechanism on a toner cartridge and to transmit rotation of the drive shaft to the drive mechanism. The adapter includes a cylindrical part having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, the first end configured to detachably receive and engage an end of the drive shaft so that the part will rotate with the drive shaft when the part is attached to the drive shaft, and a driver mounted to or integral with the second end and configured to drivingly connect the part to the drive mechanism on the toner cartridge when the part is attached to the drive shaft and the toner cartridge is installed in the printer.
Cartridge and remanufacturing method of cartridge
In a remanufacturing method for remanufacturing a cartridge from a material cartridge, the material cartridge is attachable to and detachable from an apparatus main body of an image forming apparatus, and the apparatus main body includes a guide member. The material cartridge includes a frame member including an engagement portion configured to be engaged with the guide member, and a first attachment portion provided in the engagement portion, and a first storage member. The first storage member includes a first holding portion configured to hold a first electrode and be attached to the first attachment portion. The remanufacturing method includes detaching the first holding portion, attaching a second electrode to the frame member, and attaching a second storage element to the frame member at a different position from a position of the first attachment portion.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONVERTING A TONER CARTRIDGE PRINTER
A method of converting a CMYK Standard Color Printer to print with a white toner such that a CMYW Converted White Printer is created. The CMYK Standard Color Printer may be an Oki® printer, such as C821dn, C822n, C823dn, C830n, C830dn, C831DM, C831n, C831dn, C833dn, C841dn, C843dn, or C844dnw.
TONER REFILL CARTRIDGE WITH A SPIRAL PORTION TO MOVE A PLUNGER
An example toner refill cartridge includes a body including a toner accommodating portion to accommodate toner and a toner discharge port provided at an end portion of the body in a longitudinal direction to be in communication with the toner accommodating portion, a first member rotatably supported by the body and having a spiral portion extending in the longitudinal direction, a second member located inside the first member and having a guide groove extending in the longitudinal direction, and a plunger having a guide protrusion which passes through the guide groove to engage the spiral portion, to push the toner inside a toner accommodating portion toward a toner discharge port while being moved in the longitudinal direction as the first member is rotated.
STORAGE COMPONENT DISASSEMBLY TOOLING
Discloses herein is a storage component disassembly tooling, for disassembling a storage component on a process cartridge, the process cartridge comprising a housing and a storage component mounting bracket on the housing for supporting the storage component, the storage component disassembly tooling comprising: a drilling portion, and a positioning portion; wherein the positioning portion is configured to position the storage component disassembly tooling on the housing of the process cartridge, and the drilling portion is configured to move relative to the positioning portion to destroy at least a part of the storage component mounting bracket.
Shipping or storage separator for replaceable units of an electrophotographic image forming device
A component separator system for use with an electrophotographic image forming device according to one example embodiment includes a first replaceable unit and a second replaceable unit for use in the image forming device. The second replaceable unit is manually separable from the first replaceable unit. The first replaceable unit is mateable with the second replaceable unit in an operative position of the first replaceable unit relative to the second replaceable unit with a first imaging component of the first replaceable unit in operative contact with a second imaging component of the second replaceable unit. Engagement of a first engagement member of the first replaceable unit with a second engagement member of the second replaceable unit retains the first replaceable unit in a storage position relative to the second replaceable unit with the first imaging component spaced away from the second imaging component.
