An image forming apparatus includes a stacking portion which is a part of a top surface of an exterior of the image forming apparatus. The stacking portion is positioned downstream of a discharging outlet in a discharging direction and on which the recording material discharged from the discharging outlet is stacked and includes a first surface on which the recording material discharged from the discharging outlet is stacked, and a second surface which is positioned outward with respect to the discharging outlet in a width direction orthogonal to the discharging direction. A supplying inlet is located below the first surface, wherein a downstream end of the first surface is positioned downstream of a downstream end of the second surface in the discharging direction, and wherein the first surface is rotatable to expose the supplying inlet.

A static elimination apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey a sheet along a conveyance path, a non-contact static elimination unit arranged above the conveyance path and configured to eliminate static electricity from the sheet in a non-contact state, an upper side guide member arranged to face an upper surface of the sheet and configured to form part of the conveyance path, a lower side guide member arranged to face a lower surface of the sheet and configured to form the conveyance path together with the upper side guide member, a lower side unit in which the lower side guide member is arranged, and an upper side unit in which the non-contact static elimination unit is arranged and that is configured to be rotated upward with respect to the lower side unit to make at least part of the conveyance path exposed.

An image forming apparatus includes: a transport member that transports a medium; a storage that is disposed below the transport member in a gravitational direction, and that stores the medium which is delivered by the transport member and falls into the storage; a supporter that is provided in the storage, and that has an upper end disposed below the transport member in a gravitational direction, and that allows the medium to be stored with a front end of the medium in a discharge direction matching a lower end of the medium in a gravitational direction; and a guidance member that is disposed in the supporter with the medium interposed between the guidance member and the supporter, and that guides the medium which falls to the supporter.

A sheet discharge device of the present invention includes discharge rollers configured to transport a sheet in a predetermined transport direction and to discharge the sheet to a discharge tray, and an upper discharge tray disposed above the discharge tray with a space being interposed therebetween. A bottom face of the upper discharge tray that faces the discharge tray includes a guide rib extending in an oblique direction inclined relative to the transport direction.

An image forming apparatus, including: an apparatus main body; an openable and closable member provided on the apparatus main body; an image reading portion configured to read an image of an original, the image reading portion being supported on the apparatus main body and being movable to a first position and to a second position; and a stopper member configured to move in conjunction with a movement of the image reading portion, wherein when the image reading portion is moved to the first position, the stopper member is moved to a restricting position for restricting the openable and closable member from moving from a closed position to an open position, and wherein when the image reading portion is moved to the second position, the stopper member is moved to an allowing position for allowing the openable and closable member to move from the closed position to the open position.

An image forming apparatus includes an image fixing device having a nip; an air blower for feeding air for cooling a first area which is an end portion area, in a longitudinal direction of the fixing device, of the nip; a blocking member for changing a width of an opening through which the air flows; a first blow portion through which the air toward the opening; a second blow portion through which the air from the air blowing device toward a second area which is a region in a widthwise direction of the sheet passed through the nip flows; and a third blow portion through which the air from the air blower toward a third area which is closer to an end in the widthwise direction flows. The present image formation apparatus includes a sheet output tray and an apparatus body underlying the sheet output tray, a duct being formed inside the apparatus body, a filter member being attached inside the duct, the filter member having a portion exposed outside the apparatus body, the filter member's exposed portion also serving as a portion of the sheet output tray.

A sheet discharge device of the present invention includes discharge rollers configured to transport a sheet in a predetermined transport direction and to discharge the sheet to a discharge tray, and an upper discharge tray disposed above the discharge tray with a space being interposed therebetween. A bottom face of the upper discharge tray that faces the discharge tray includes a guide rib extending in an oblique direction inclined relative to the transport direction.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a primary conveyance section, a first diverging section, a sorting ejection section, a secondary conveyance section, and a housing. The first diverging section is located downstream of the image forming section in a paper conveyance direction in the primary conveyance section. The secondary conveyance section diverges from the primary conveyance section at the first diverging section. The sorting ejection section sorts and ejects the paper conveyed thereto by the secondary conveyance section. The housing constitutes an apparatus main body and houses the image forming section, the primary conveyance section, the first diverging section, and part of the secondary conveyance section. One side wall of a plurality of side walls of the housing has an opening. The secondary conveyance section conveys the paper to a proximal end of the sorting ejection section through the opening.

An image forming apparatus includes a main body of the image forming apparatus with an opening portion, an image forming unit, an accommodation portion, a stack portion, a sheet moving unit, and a control unit that controls switching between a first mode that moves, with the sheet moving unit, a sheet accommodated in the accommodation portion and stops the sheet when a part of the sheet is exposed external to the main body of the image forming apparatus from the opening portion, and a second mode that moves the sheet, with the sheet moving unit, accommodated in the accommodation portion and that discharges the sheet to the stack portion.
