A controller controls the image forming unit to form a test image on one side of the sheet, controls the roller to convey the sheet on which the test image has been formed, obtains first read data relating to a read result of a first surface of the sheet on which the test image is formed, obtains second read data relating to a read result of a second surface from the first read data and the second read data, selects read data relating to a read result relating to the test image, and controls, based on the selected read data, a density of an output image to be formed by the image forming unit.

An image forming apparatus that includes an image bearing member which can bear a toner image, a transfer member used to transfer a toner image onto a recording material from the image bearing member, and a reading device which reads density information of images on recording material disposed on the platen. The image forming apparatus forms a first chart on a first recording material and a second chart on a second recording material by sequentially transferring a plurality of test images while applying a plurality of test voltages to the transfer member. The two charts are read by the reading device and the transfer voltage is adjusted based on the reading result.

An image forming apparatus includes a printer configured to print an image, a reading unit having: a platen on which a document is to be placed; and a reading sensor configured to read an image of the document placed on the platen, a document feeder rotatably supported by the reading unit having: a stacking tray on which a document is to be stacked; a conveyance unit configured to convey the document stacked on the stacking tray to cause the reading sensor to read an image of the document; and a discharge tray on which the document conveyed by the conveyance unit is discharged, a display; and a controller configured to receive user instruction information for instructing to print the test chart; and control the printer to print the test chart on a sheet when the user instruction information is received.

An image processing apparatus includes a scanner configured to read an image formed on a sheet along a reading direction and generate image data thereof, and a processor. The processor is configured to select a first region of the generated image data into which a first image indicating the reading direction is to be combined, set a pixel value of the first image in accordance with a pixel value of a pixel around the first region, and combine the first image having the determined pixel value into the first region of the image data and output the combined image data.

An image forming method, an image forming apparatus, and a storage medium are provided in embodiments of the present disclosure. The method includes rotating an image carrier along a preset direction, where the image carrier at least includes a first region and a second region; and simultaneously applying voltages to a first image forming module and a second image forming module, such that the first image forming module forms a first image on the first region of the image carrier based on the voltages, and the second image forming module forms a second image on the second region of the image carrier based on the voltages. Each of the first image and the second image includes a plurality of patterns with different concentrations; and a quantity of patterns in the first image and the second image is determined based on a first preset distance.

An image forming device includes an image forming unit, a fuser, a memory, and a control circuit. The image forming unit forms an image on a recording medium with a decolorable toner based on image data. The decolorable toner decolorizes at a first temperature and does not decolorize at a second temperature that is lower than the first temperature. The fuser has a plurality of regions extending in a direction orthogonal to a direction of conveyance of the recording medium. The fuser generates heat in each of the plurality of regions to fuse the image onto the recording medium. The memory stores a correspondence between the plurality of regions and positions of a plurality of areas positioned along a main scanning direction in the image data. The control circuit changes the correspondence based on a degree of color development or decolorization of the image.

According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which are stored machine-readable instructions that when executed by the processor, may cause the processor to print a first indicia at a first region on a first side of a print medium. The instructions may also cause the processor to print a second indicia at a second region on the first side of the print medium, in which the second region may be spaced a prescribed distance from the first region along a first edge of the print medium. In some examples, a relative position of the first indicia to the second indicia may correlate to a skew correction value for the first edge of the print medium.

A print system having an information processing apparatus and a printing apparatus configured to receive a print job from the information processing apparatus and execute printing. The information processing apparatus sets so as to insert a chart sheet on which patches for tone correction have been printed for the print job. In a case where the print job includes a setting to insert the chart sheet, the printing apparatus controls whether or not to insert the chart sheet based on a type of sheet to be used in the print job.
