In a feeding direction of a recording material S, a recording material cooling device 20 is provided downstream of a fixing device 11, the curl reducing device 700 is provided downstream of the recording material cooling device 20, and a recording material cooling device 201 is provided downstream of the curl reducing device 700. By this, occurrence of image defect by the recording material cooling device 20 during the feeding of the recording material S can be suppressed, and the curling of the recording material can be reduced after the recording material S is cooled.

Disclosed is an image forming apparatus, including: a first guide guiding one surface of a sheet downstream of a fixing unit fixing a toner image on the sheet and upstream of discharging rollers discharging the sheet to a stacking portion in a sheet conveying direction; a second guide facing the first guide, the second guide guiding the other surface of the sheet; protrusions with openings provided on the second guide in a sheet width direction orthogonal to the sheet conveying direction; recesses provided on the first guide in the sheet width direction, the recesses facing the protrusions; and a blower unit blowing air toward the sheet via the openings provided on the second guide, wherein a corrugated shape is formed in the width direction on the sheet to which air is blown by the protrusions provided on the second guide and the recesses provided on the first guide.

An electrophotographic image formation apparatus capable of forming an image on a recording medium, comprising: a first swinging roller and a first deviation sensor disposed between a secondary transfer roller and a first bent portion; a second bent portion disposed upstream of the first bent portion and changing the direction in which the recording medium is transported; a second swinging roller and a second deviation sensor disposed between the first bent portion and the second bent portion; and a control unit which controls an amount of movement of the first swinging roller based on a first detected positional value of the recording medium sensed by the first deviation sensor and controls an amount of movement of the second swinging roller based on a second detected positional value of the recording medium sensed by the second deviation sensor.

The curl correction device includes a first guide that guides a sheet to a nip portion between a first rotation member and a second rotation member, a support portion that rotatably supports the first guide about a fulcrum on the downstream side of the first guide, and a restriction portion that restricts a rotation of the first guide rotating about the fulcrum by being in contact with the first guide. The first guide is rotatable about the fulcrum so as to become separated from the restriction portion.

An electrophotographic image formation apparatus capable of forming an image on a recording medium, comprising: a first swinging roller and a first deviation sensor disposed between a secondary transfer roller and a first bent portion; a second bent portion disposed upstream of the first bent portion and changing the direction in which the recording medium is transported; a second swinging roller and a second deviation sensor disposed between the first bent portion and the second bent portion; and a control unit which controls an amount of movement of the first swinging roller based on a first detected positional value of the recording medium sensed by the first deviation sensor and controls an amount of movement of the second swinging roller based on a second detected positional value of the recording medium sensed by the second deviation sensor.

The image forming apparatus includes a crimping/release mechanism that switches between a crimping position where a transfer nip is formed and a release position where the intermediate transfer belt and the photosensitive drum are separated from each other, by moving at least one primary transfer section of a plurality of primary transfer sections provided facing a plurality of photosensitive drums respectively, and a processor that performs color misregistration adjustment when a combination of image forming units used for image formation is changed.
