Disclosed is a belt transfer type multi-function device for printing an image transferred on a belt to paper moving between a transfer roller and a belt roller, including a control device performing controlling such that an image to be printed on paper already caught between the transfer roller and the belt roller is printed as it is, and if printing should not be performed on next paper along a movement direction of paper, movement of the next paper is stopped on a transfer path of paper before the next paper is positioned between the transfer roller and the belt roller, the image already transferred on the transfer belt is deleted in a state in which the next paper is maintained to be stopped on the transfer path of paper, and the next paper in a stopped state is ejected as a blank paper through a ejection port of printed paper along the transfer path of paper, so that the image already transferred to the transfer belt, which is to be printed on the next paper along the movement direction of paper, is not printed on the next paper.

A recording material determination device includes a transmission unit, a drive unit, a reception unit, and a control unit. The drive unit outputs a drive signal for transmitting an ultrasonic wave from the transmission unit to the reception unit. An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, a belt, an inner roller, an outer member, an inner roller position changing mechanism, an acquiring portion, and a controller. A parameter determination apparatus includes: a first hardware processor that acquires a value related to a plurality of types of sheet physical properties; a second hardware processor that specifies at least any of a sheet type or a basis weight based on an acquired value related to a sheet physical property; and a third hardware processor that specifies a parameter related to sheet processing without specifying at least any of the sheet type or the basis weight, based on an acquired value related to a sheet physical property.

A recording material determination device includes a transmission unit, a drive unit, a reception unit, and a control unit. The drive unit outputs a drive signal for transmitting an ultrasonic wave from the transmission unit to the reception unit. The control unit determines a type of a recording material, based on a first value of the ultrasonic wave through the recording material received by the reception unit in a first mode for outputting a first number of drive signals from the drive unit in a first period, and a second value of the ultrasonic wave through the recording material received by the reception unit in a second mode for outputting a second number of drive signals from the drive unit in a second period. The second number of drive signals is greater than the first number of drive signals.
