A vapor-permeable insert for item of clothing or accessory, including a collector element adapted to absorb solar radiation, a window element that is transparent to the solar radiation absorbed by the collector element, and an interspace formed between the window element and the collector element, the collector element and the window element being arranged at two opposite faces of the interspace.

An article of clothing, in particular a protective vest, the size of which can be adjusted. At least one outer zipper with two rows of teeth is provided. The article of clothing has a first size in a closed state of the outer zipper and a second size in an open state of the outer zipper, wherein the first size is smaller than the second size. In the open state of the outer zipper, the rows of teeth are held together at a distance from each other by material which is at least partly covered by the outer zipper in the closed state of the outer zipper. An inner zipper with two rows of teeth is provided, said zipper being at least partly covered by the outer zipper in the closed state of the outer zipper and being exposed in the open state of the outer zipper.

An adjustable length garment is constructed of a fabric and includes garment parts having respective circumferential hems. The garment further includes first and second hem inserts freely positioned within respective hems of the garment parts and unattached to the fabric of the garment. A circumferentially reinforced cuff is adapted for being formed at the hem of each garment part by turning the hem insert upwardly, such that a width of the cuff corresponds substantially to a width of the flexible strip, thereby shortening the garment part by each upward turn of the hem insert, and returning the garment part to its original length by a corresponding downward turn of the hem insert.

A breathable item of clothing and a breathable insert for items of clothing, the item of clothing includes an external enclosure, the surface of which has at least one opening for evacuating perspiration in the vapor phase in an upper region of the item of clothing, a breathable external covering having a structure for the external retention of water, impurities or others, an internal layer to be directed toward the body of the user of the item of clothing, forming an interspace due to the spacing of the external covering from the body of the user, for the passage of perspiration in the vapor phase, produced by the body and channeled within the interspace, to the external covering. The external covering, structure for external retention of water, impurities or others, and the internal layer are placed in a breathable preassembled insert.

A lightweight, female youth and adult protective garment for use in playing sports (ie. volleyball, lacrosse, gymnastics, rugby, ice skating, wrestling) or any activity where an individual may experience injury to the areas between the waist and mid-thigh (ie. iliac crest, greater trochanter or coccyx). The garment implements an inseam of 6 inches or less and utilizes limited visible shock-absorbing pads. These pads are designed to adhere to a cloth material (ie. spandex, Lyrca, nylon). The pads included on the garment are specifically placed on the inside of the garment in high prone injury areas of the pelvic girdle. The purpose is to relieve possible discomfort and reduce injury while maintaining a smoother appearance. This also provides a level of desired mobility for the active individual. The garment can be worn as a uniform, an integrated part of a uniform, or as an independent garment.

What is disclosed is a holster or pocket in a garment that is supported by a boning material. The garment is typically a waistband, girdle or corset made of elastic, spandex, nylon, polyester, cotton, Lycra, lace, stretchable or compression material. It is a garment that can be worn anywhere on one's torso, including extremities and can include the thighs, derriere and abdomen up to the arms and shoulders and include the front of the chest. The boning material resides between the outside area of the holster or pocket to provide the support necessary to keep the garment or holster material from sagging.

A garment, preferably a protective vest, which is adjustable in its size is provided. According to one approach, at least one outer zipper having two rows of teeth is provided, wherein the garment has a first size in a closed state of the outer zipper and a second size in an opened state of the outer zipper, wherein the first size is smaller than the second size, and wherein, in the opened state of the outer zipper, the rows of teeth are held together at a distance by material covered by the outer zipper in the closed state of the outer zipper. A mask is provided. The mask according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an outer skin which forms an externally exposed surface when the mask is worn; an inner skin fixed to one surface of the outer skin so that an accommodation portion having at least one side open is formed between the outer skin and one surface of the inner skin facing the outer skin while the inner skin is in close contact with a user's face part when the mask is worn; a filter medium accommodated in the accommodation portion; and wearing portions provided on both sides of the outer skin to be respectively worn on the user's ears.

Disclosed herein are wearable articles and methods for the manufacture and use thereof. The wearable articles can comprise compression elements, gripping elements, and support elements containing a rate-sensitive material which can operate to prevent injury.

Present invention discloses a performance training garment, particularly a whole-body performance training garment which in a single garment covers, essentially, the wearer's major portions such as torso, arms and legs. The garment body is incorporated with a series of inflatable bladders to provide external resistance to the wearers muscles. The body of the garment also includes a network of supply lines that is responsible for supplying an air inflation medium to the bladders. The inflation and deflation is controlled by a control device that has wearer operated interface. The performance training garment as disclosed herein provides the effect of exercising in a high-G environment by furnishing external resistance against which the wearer's muscles contracts.
