Sheet folding mechanism and sheet processing apparatus
According to an embodiment, a sheet folding apparatus comprises a first roller, a second roller configured to be energized to the first roller, form a nip section together with the first roller, fold a sheet in half together with the first roller through the nip section and convey the sheet folded in half together with the first roller and a pressing force adjusting mechanism configured to be capable of increasing and decreasing a pressing force generated at the nip section. The pressing force adjusting mechanism causes a pressing force in a state of being conveying the sheet folded in half to be lower than that in a state of being folding the sheet in half.
Projection arrangement for binding device
A binding apparatus includes a first pressing member including a base part and multiple projections projecting from the base part, the first pressing member presses a recording media stack from one side; and a second pressing member including a base part and multiple projections projecting from the base part, the second pressing member facing the first pressing member and pressing the recording media stack from the other side. At least one of the first and second pressing members has at least one lower projection whose apex in a projecting direction closer to the base part than the apexes of the other projections are, and the lower projection is provided in the first or second pressing member that has more projections than the other, or more lower projections are provided in the first or second pressing member that has more projections than the other.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
To allow easy access to a jammed sheet when a sheet jam occurs in a sheet processing device installed inside the body of an image forming apparatus. An image forming apparatus is provided with a sheet binding unit that applies binding to sheets. The sheet binding unit has a carry-in port for receiving a sheet to be conveyed to a sheet carry-in path formed thereinside and an openable cover for opening the carry-in port. The end portion of the openable cover on the carry-in port side and an end portion of an operation part for inputting an operational item for the operation carried out in the image forming apparatus are arranged spaced apart from each other at a predetermined distance.
STAPLING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A stapling apparatus includes a stapler, a driver to move the stapler, and a guide part to define a moving path along which the stapler is to move in response to selection of the moving path among a plurality of moving paths along which the stapler is movable.
Sheet processing apparatus
There is provided a sheet post-processing apparatus capable of performing eco-stapling processing to prevent a decrease in binding force by the thickness of a sheet with a simple arrangement by changing a stapling count depending on the grammage and size of a sheet and the number of sheets in consideration of the change in binding force caused by the sheet size.
Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system
Provided is a sheet processing apparatus, including: a placement portion to which a sheet conveyed by a conveyance portion in a conveyance direction is placed; a processing portion configured to perform predetermined processing on a sheet placed on the placement portion, and to be movable in a predetermined moving range; and a control portion configured to control the processing portion to position, at a timing at which a sheet conveyed by the conveyance portion passes through the moving range, from a first position of preventing from interfering with the sheet to a second position of performing the predetermined processing on a preceding sheet having been conveyed by the conveyance portion and placed on the placement portion before the sheet.
Bundle discharge control for sheet binding device
A bundle of printing media by eco-stapling often has a smaller thickness than a bundle of printing media by needle stapling by the thickness corresponding to an amount of used staples, although they have the same number of printing media, and there is room capable of stacking bundles in many cases in the eco-stapling. According to an embodiment, when a printing medium that has undergone an image forming process is taken in, stapling processing is performed on the printing medium, and then the printing medium is discharged to the tray, the following process is performed. That is, when the process is performed in accordance with instructed stapling processing, and the printing medium that has undergone the process is discharged outside the apparatus, the amount of printing media stacked on the tray is controlled in accordance with instructed stapling processing.
Sheet processing apparatus and image forming system including the same
A sheet processing apparatus, including: a rotary member pair configured to nip a sheet conveyed in a conveyance path and rotate to fold the sheet; and a guide portion provided between one rotary member of the rotary member pair and the conveyance path, the one rotary member including: a first part; and a second part, wherein a first distance between the first part and a rotary shaft center of the one rotary member is greater than a second distance between the second part and the rotary shaft center, and wherein the guide portion is positioned at a first position in case that the second part is positioned at a first rotational position, and the guide portion is positioned at a second position different from the first position in a distance from the rotary shaft center in case that the second part is positioned at a second rotational position.
Sheet processing apparatus with delayed processing
A sheet processing apparatus includes a stapler that executes a stapling process on sheets set in a sheet insertion opening by a user, and a sheet detecting sensor that detects the sheets set in the sheet insertion opening. The sheet processing apparatus displays a setting screen for setting a time until the staple process is executed, and causes the stapler to execute the stapling process according to elapse of the set time after the sheet detecting sensor detects the sheets.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD
An image forming apparatus detects an attribute of paper for each sheet of paper. A post-process apparatus performs a post-process for each group of paper including a designated number of sheets of paper. A controller of the image forming apparatus determines for each sheet of paper, whether or not a designated post-process is prohibited based on prohibition rule data which defines permission and prohibition of the post-process in accordance with the attribute of paper for each type of post-process and the detected attribute of paper. When the controller determines that the designated post-process is prohibited, the controller determines whether or not a sheet of paper which resulted in determination as prohibition is a sheet of paper intermediate between the first sheet of paper and the last sheet of paper in the group of paper, and has an image forming system perform a process in accordance with a result of determination.
