Method of manufacturing developer container
A method of manufacturing a developer container including a frame configured to define a developer containing portion, a first electrode, and a second electrode arranged on a surface of the frame and having a surface opposed to the first electrode, a developer amount in the developer containing portion being detected based on a capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode, the method including: holding a conductive resin member constituting the second electrode on a mold configured to mold the frame, a surface of the conductive resin member being in contact with a surface of the mold configured to mold a surface of the frame on a side of the developer containing portion; injecting a resin to be formed into the frame, into the mold on which the conductive resin member is held; and curing the resin to form the frame to which the second electrode is fixed.
Developing cartridge including electrical contact surface positioned away from developing roller
A developing cartridge includes: a casing; a developing roller rotatable about a developing axis extending in a first direction and positioned at one end portion of the casing in a second direction crossing the first direction; a developing electrode electrically connected to the developing roller and positioned at one end portion of the casing in the first direction; a supply roller rotatable about a supply axis extending in the first direction and configured to supply toner to the developing roller; a supply electrode electrically connected to the supply roller and positioned at one end portion of the casing in the first direction; and an IC chip having an electrical contact surface positioned at one end portion of the casing in the first direction. The electrical contact surface is positioned opposite the developing electrode in the second direction with respect to a part of the supply electrode.
Cartridge and image forming apparatus
A cartridge provides comprising: a toner, a developing roller, a supply member and a regular member. The supply member abuts the surface of the developing roller and the regulating member serves to regulate the toner carried on the surface of the developing roller. The cartridge includes a first supply electrode to which a voltage is supplied from outside of the cartridge, with the supply member and the regulating member electrically connected to the same first supply electrode. Additionally, the toner contains a compound A having a structure represented by Formula (1) below,
(CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O)(1) where, when compound A is eluted in methanol a supernatant containing compound A is analyzed by liquid chromatograph ESI/MS, a specific peak of which an average m/z is 300 to 1000 exists.
Image forming apparatus controlling voltage applied to electrodes of charging devices
In an image forming mode, in which a first image forming portion forms a toner image on a first image bearing member and a second image forming portion does not form a toner image on a second image bearing member, thereby forming an image on a recording material, a first voltage lower than a minimum value of absolute values of a plurality of voltages applied to a plurality of grid electrodes of the first image forming portion and higher than an absolute value of a target potential of a surface of the second image bearing member in the image forming mode is applied to one of a plurality of grid electrodes of the second image forming portion, and no voltage is applied to the other grid electrodes except the grid electrode to which the first voltage is applied among the plurality of grid electrodes of the second image forming portion.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main body having a ground member, a door that pivots around a pivotal support shaft, an electric component provided on the door, and a conductive portion having first and second conductive portions. The first conductive portion is provided on the door and moves with the door. The second conductive portion is provided on the apparatus main body and is electrically connected to the first conductive portion and the ground member. The first conductive portion includes a wire spring having a contact portion that contacts the second conductive portion, and exerts an elastic force to press the second conductive portion. The contact portion is at a position overlapping the door pivotal support shaft when viewed in a direction of a pivot axis line of the door. The contact portion of the wire spring linearly extends over the pivot axis line of the door.
