The first fixation unit includes: a first belt; a first pad with a first elastic layer; and a first roller provided downstream of the first pad in a conveyance direction of a medium. The second fixation unit includes: a second belt; a second pad including a second elastic layer and pressed against the first pad with the first and second belts interposed in between; and a second roller provided downstream of the second pad in the conveyance direction and pressed against the first roller with the first second belts interposed in between. A thickness of at least one of the first and second elastic layers is smaller on a downstream side in the conveyance direction than on an upstream side in the conveyance direction.
Image heating apparatus, image forming apparatus, and heater
An image heating apparatus includes a heater having a first heating block and a second heating block, a heating rotating member to be heated by the heater, a pressure rotating member forming a nip portion for conveying a recording material between the pressure rotating member and the heating rotating member, first temperature detection elements and second temperature detection elements for detecting temperatures of the first heating block and second heating block respectively at positions farther from a recording material conveyance reference position than the first temperature detection elements. In the image heating apparatus, the first temperature detection elements are arranged on a side downstream of the heater in a recording material conveying direction, and the second temperature detection elements are arranged on a side upstream of the first temperature detection elements in the recording material conveying direction.
IMAGE FORMATION APPARATUS
An image formation apparatus according to an embodiment may include a fixation device and a controller. The fixation device includes: a fixation member includes a first region and a second region located closer to a center in a longitudinal direction of the fixation member than the first region; a pressurizing member that forms a nip portion between the fixation member and the pressurizing member; first and second heat generating portions that heat the first and second regions, respectively; a first sensor that detects a first temperature of one of the pressurizing member and the fixation member at a position corresponding to the first region; and a second sensor that detects a second temperature of the one at a position corresponding to the second region. The controller controls a drive speed of the pressurizing member or the fixation member based on the first and second temperatures.
In the image heating apparatus, the first temperature detection elements are arranged on a side downstream of the heater in a recording material conveying direction, and the second temperature detection elements are arranged on upstream of the first temperature detection elements in the recording material conveying direction.
IMAGING SYSTEM WITH GLOSS TREATMENT DEVICE
An imaging system includes an endless belt to convey a medium, a heating member to heat the endless belt, a pressure member to press the endless belt against the heating member, and a cooling device. The cooling device is in contact with the endless belt at a non-linear portion of the endless belt and includes an interior space.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a fixing belt, a steering roller, a pressure rotation member, and a control unit. The pressure rotation member forms a nip portion with the fixing belt to convey a recording material. In continuously performing fixing on recording materials, the control unit controls the steering roller such that a distance between a center position of the fixing belt when an operation to tilt the steering roller is performed for a first time after the center position is moved away from a center position of a moving range of the fixing belt and the center position of the moving range is smaller in a period after a last but one recording material before the pressure rotation member enters a separated state from the fixing belt passes through the nip portion than in a period before the recording material passes through the nip portion.
