A transcatheter valve prosthesis includes a stent having a compressed configuration for delivery within a vasculature and an expanded configuration for deployment within a native heart valve and a prosthetic valve component disposed within and secured to the stent. A compartment is coupled to the stent, and a filtered opening into the compartment is configured to permit blood flow there-through and to trap emboli in the blood flow within the compartment.

HYDRATION DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR STENTS

A stent delivery device is provided that includes an inner member defining a distal tip and a stent holding region, and an outer tubular member slidingly disposed over the inner member and configured to engage the distal tip. Seal members may be disposed on one or more of an outer surface of the inner member, the distal tip, and the outer tubular member. The seal members define a liquid-tight sealed chamber surrounding the stent holding region.

System and method for treating valve insufficiency or vessel dilatation

A medical device configured for placement in a blood vessel, in which an elastic tube extends between first and second expandable anchoring stents. The elastic tube is constructed of a resilient material that deflects outward in response to increased blood pressure of a heart beat and that moves back inward as the blood pressure drops, thereby aiding the heart's pumping action.

In various embodiments, provided herein are methods, devices and systems to optimize annular orientation of transcatheter valves and thereby facilitate transcatheter aortic valve replacement in the setting of challenging cardiovascular anatomy. These methods, devices and systems are used to treat patients with valvular diseases. To solve these problems, described herein is a Device to Optimize aNnUlar orientation of Transcathether valves (DONUT). DONUT can correct large differences between a native valve's anatomical dimensions and the external dimensions of a transcatheter valve stent frame.

PIEZOELECTRIC NON-RETURN VALVE SHUT-OFF

An implantable fluid operated device includes a fluid control system to transfer fluid between a fluid reservoir and an inflatable member. The fluid control system includes at least one fluid control device including at least one pump and at least one valve, or at least one combination pump and valve device. A seal is provided in the at least one fluid control device. In a first mode, the seal provides a seal between a fluid passageway and a fluid chamber of the fluid control device, to close the fluid control device. In a second mode, the seal is disengaged to open the fluid control device and allow fluid to flow between the fluid passageway and the fluid chamber. A seal retention device maintains a position of the seal when the fluid control device is open and fluid is flowing through the fluid control device.
