Method of producing an elongate implant containing a structurally encoded pin through electrical discharge machining
An implant and method for manufacturing an implant comprising an implant body defining a longitudinal axis and a structurally encoded pin contained within the implant body and aligned substantially along the longitudinal axis, the structurally encoded pin having a shape or surface characteristics discernable by an imaging modality such as x-ray, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, electromagnetic radiation, ultrasound, visible light, UV light, magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomography and neutron imaging, from outside the implant body, the shape or surface characteristics representing structurally encoded data. The structurally encoded pin is encoded via an electric discharge machining process.
Structurally encoded spinal implant device
A spinal implant device identifiable after implantation comprises an outer cage member and an implant body. The implant body is disposed between a first vertebra end and a second vertebra end of the outer cage and defines a plurality of planes. Each of the planes comprises separately readable indicia such that the indicia are discernible by at least one of x-ray, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, electromagnetic radiation, ultrasound, or magnetic resonance imaging.
TISSUE SHAPING DEVICE
An anchor anchors a therapeutic device having an elongated body within a body lumen. The anchor includes a fixation member carried on the device which is adjustable from a first configuration that permits placement of the device in the body lumen to a second configuration that anchors the device within the body lumen. The anchor further includes a lock that locks the fixation member in the second configuration. The fixation member may be locked in any one of a plurality of intermediate points between the first configuration and a maximum second configuration.

Intervertebral disc prosthesis insertion assemblies
In various embodiments, an intervertebral disc prosthesis is provided. The prosthesis may be provided with an insertion adapter, such as a head, holder, or other carrier of the prosthesis. The insertion adapter may be configured to retain the prosthesis and to engage an insertion tool body. In various embodiments, the prosthesis and the insertion holder are provided in a sterile pack, with the prosthesis components and the insertion holder sterilized and packaged in one or more types or layers of sterile packaging. In various other embodiments, the prosthesis and an insertion tool are provided in a sterile pack, with the prosthesis components and the insertion tool sterilized and packaged in one or more types or layers of sterile packaging.
LENSES WITH OPTICAL MARKINGS
A lens including a posterior surface, an anterior surface, and at least one identification marking on the lens. The at least one identification marking exhibits a first degree of visibility in an ambient lighting condition and a second degree of visibility greater than the first degree of visibility in a lighting condition different than the ambient lighting condition.
X-Ray Developable Identifying Element for Use in an Implant and Implant Comprising the Same
Provided is an X-Ray developable identifying element for use in an implant, which comprises a body and an identifying pattern; wherein the identifying pattern is formed on the body or embedded in the body, and the material of the identifying pattern is an X-ray developable material. Provided is an implant comprising the X-Ray developable identifying element. The identifying element has the X-ray developable identifying pattern, so the image of identifying pattern will be displayed on an X-ray film after X-ray radiation to represent the origin of the product and model number, which allows the patients or users to identify the information of the implant implanted in their bodies. The present disclosure allows patients or users to obtain the information of the implant implanted in their bodies outside the body so as to improve the convenience of getting the information of the implant implanted in patients or users.

INFORMATION MARKERS FOR HEART PROSTHESES AND METHODS OF USING SAME
A heart prosthesis that includes at least one information marker and methods of using the heart prosthesis are disclosed. The at least one information marker can indicate any suitable information associated with the heart prosthesis, e.g., one or more of a manufacturer, type, model, feature, size, and date. And the heart prosthesis can include any suitable prosthesis, e.g., a prosthetic heart valve or an annuloplasty prosthesis.
