METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING THE PROSTATIC URETHRAL LENGTH

Devices and methods are disclosed for determining prostatic urethral length. A measuring device having an elongated shaft member with associated markings may be advanced through a working channel of the cystoscope so that a positioning aid disposed on the elongated shaft member is located at a bladder neck of the patient. A first position of the elongated shaft member is determined using the markings. The elongated shaft member is then withdrawn to a second position at which the positioning aid is located at the patient's verumontanum. The prostatic urethral length is determined based at least in part on relative translational movement of the elongated shaft member between the first position and the second position using the markings.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE IMPLANT AND METHOD

Apparatus and methods are provided for treating urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and other pelvic defects or dysfunctions, in both males and females, using one or more lateral implants to reinforce the supportive tissue of the urethra. The implants can be configured as a sling device having at least one extension arm and a tissue support portion having an eyelet, wherein a portion of the at least one extension arm is adapted to slide through and adjustably attach with the eyelet.

Catheter structures for reducing fluoroscopy usage during endovascular procedures

A catheter structure, such as a balloon catheter (30), guidewire, or the like, with markings (32) perceptible outside of the vasculature is for use in determining at a location external to the body the position of the catheter structure relative to a treatment area. Related kits are also disclosed.

Implant and filament management device

A variety of configurations of implant management devices are provided. The configurations provide different combinations of features for maintaining a location of an implant with respect to the device and managing filaments of the implant. One exemplary embodiment of a device includes a generally rectangular-shaped body having an implantable body retainer, an opening disposed a distance apart from the retainer and configured to receive a ligament graft therein, and a fold extending across the body and intersecting the opening. Folding one end of the body towards a bottom surface of the body along the fold can form a filament loop engaging region to hold in tension a filament loop extending from the implant. Additional filament(s) associated with the implant can be managed by various filament retention features. Methods for preparing a ligament graft for implantation by relying upon indicia formed on a surface of the device body are also provided.

Medical instrumentarium comprising sawing template

The invention relates to a medical instrumentarium for implanting a hip joint endoprosthesis, which instrumentarium comprises at least one sawing template with at least one guide slot for a saw blade, wherein the sawing template comprises at least one first coupling element for temporarily coupling the sawing template to a second coupling element of a rasp body of a prosthesis rasp in a coupling position.

AIRWAY SUPPORT DEVICE
20220296357 · 2022-09-22 · ·

An airway support device of the present disclosure can be attached to tracheal and/or bronchial cartilage on opposing sides of a tracheal and/or bronchial wall to pull the tracheal and/or bronchial cartilages toward each other to reconstruct and/or reshape to a normal anatomy across the membranous tracheal and/or bronchial wall and thus relieving tension across the tracheal and/or bronchial wall. The airway support device can include at least two longitudinal strips that extend longitudinally along and are attached (e.g., sutured) to the trachea and/or bronchus on opposite sides of the tracheal and/or bronchial wall. Pairs of lateral strips extending from each of the longitudinal strips can be attached to each other under tension. The tracheal and/or bronchial wall can be attached (e.g., sutured) to the lateral strips to open the airway of the trachea and/or bronchus.

Implant insertion device

According to a general aspect, an insertion device includes an elongate member defining a lumen, a handle member movably coupled to the elongate member, a plunger member, at least a portion of the plunger member being disposed within the lumen defined by the elongate member, and an actuation member operatively coupled to the plunger member, the plunger member being configured to move from a first position within the lumen to a second location within the lumen in response to the actuation member being actuated.

TEXTILE-BASED PROTHESIS FOR LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

The invention relates to a prosthesis (1) comprising a textile (2) of elongate shape defining a longitudinal axis A, and a reinforcing element comprising at least one semi-rigid elongate structure (8) connected to said textile, said structure being substantially parallel to said longitudinal axis A and having a distal end provided with at least one fastening element (4) distinct from said textile and capable of cooperating with a part of a tool (10) that is able to pass through said trocar, in order to temporarily couple said prosthesis to said tool.

PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE

Embodiments of a radially collapsible and expandable prosthetic heart valve are disclosed. A valve frame can have a tapered profile when mounted on a delivery shaft, with an inflow end portion having a smaller diameter than an outflow end portion. The valve can comprise generally V-shaped leaflets, reducing material within the inflow end of the frame. An outer skirt can be secured to the outside of the inflow end portion of the frame, the outer skirt having longitudinal slack when the valve is expanded and lying flat against the frame when the valve is collapsed. A diagonally woven inner skirt can elongate axially with the frame. Side tabs of adjacent leaflets can extend through and be secured to window frame portions of the frame to form commissures. The window frame portions can be depressed radially inward relative to surrounding frame portions when the valve is crimped onto a delivery shaft.
