COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR GENERATING CONTROL PARAMETERS FOR A PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM

The invention refers to a method for generating control parameters for a process control system (131, 132) utilized for batch production of a specific product. The method is configured to be used in a MES (120) and comprises a) receiving, by a receiving unit, a product recipe from an ERP system (110), wherein the product recipe comprises information indicative of production requirements for a specific product in a batch production process, b) generating, by a generating unit, a parameter set based on the product recipe, wherein the parameter set is configured to be implemented in the process control system (131, 132), and c) implementing, by an implementing unit, the generated parameter set into the process control system before starting the production of the specific product.

CONTROLLER WITH PROGRAMMABLE HAND-OFF-AUTO (HOA) SWITCHES

A building controller includes a plurality of inputs, a plurality of outputs and a plurality of manually-actuated HAND-OFF-AUTO (HOA) switches each having a HAND (H) position, an OFF (O) position and an AUTO (A) position, wherein each of the plurality of HOA switches is associated with but not directly coupled to a corresponding output of the plurality of outputs. A controller is operatively coupled to the plurality of inputs, the plurality of outputs, and the plurality of HOA switches and is configured to recognize a position of each of the plurality of HOA switches, and to control one or more of the plurality of outputs in accordance with the recognized position of each of the plurality of HOA switches as well as a plurality of programmed configuration settings associated with the plurality of HOA switches.

FOOD PREPARATION APPARATUS AND METHODS

Food preparation apparatus and associated methods. In one method, dough is proofed in an oven compartment and then baked in the same oven compartment. Temperature and/or humidity can be controlled during proofing and/or baking cycles. A blower may be used, for example, to exhaust gas to ambient to reduce heat and/or moisture in the compartment. For example, the blower may be used between proofing and baking cycles to prepare an environment in the oven compartment for the baking cycle.

A building temperature may be allowed to deviate from a comfort temperature set point to an energy saving temperature when a user is outside the geo-fence. Crossing information indicating when a user crosses into the geo-fence may be received. The crossing information may be stored over time to develop a history of when the user crosses into the geo-fence. A probability function that operates on at least part of the stored crossing information may be used to predict a time range of when the user is expected to next arrive at the building, the time range having a starting time and an ending time. The HVAC system may be instructed to drive the building temperature to an intermediate temperature at the starting time of the time range, wherein the intermediate temperature is between the energy saving temperature and the comfort temperature set point.

SYSTEM FOR REMAPPING A CONTROL SIGNAL FOR EXCAVATOR ARM MOVEMENT TO A ROTATORY DEGREE OF FREEDOM OF A TOOL

A system for controlling movement of multiple links of an excavator can move a tool at the end of an excavator arm. The system includes a sensor data interface configured to receive sensor data for determining relative orientations of the multiple links with respect to each other, and a surface setting unit configured to access design data defining a reference surface. The system has a remapping unit configured to remap a user command for moving two links with respect to each other about a corresponding joint to a rotatory tool degree of freedom. The system then coordinates output signals, such that as a function of the remapped user command the tool is rotated within the associated rotatory tool degree of freedom, without the need that an operator coordinates underlying joint movements.

Low cost precision irrigation system with passive valves and portable adjusting device

According to some embodiments of the invention, an adjusting device for adjusting a passive drip irrigation valve to enable precision irrigation includes a device body configured to be at least one of hand-held or attachable to a robot, the device body having a manipulator end, and a manipulator assembly contained within and extending from the manipulator end of the device body. The manipulator assembly includes a coarse alignment adjustment assembly constructed and arranged to align the adjusting device with the passive drip irrigation valve. The manipulator assembly also includes a fine actuator configured to rotate the passive drip irrigation valve by a specified angle.

BULK COMMISSIONING OF FIELD DEVICES WITHIN A PROCESS PLANT

A computer-implemented system and method for configuring a plurality of field devices enables a user to perform both device parameter editing and marking device parameters for bulk transfer in a simple an easy manner. The system and method provide a single application or utility that enables a user to view and make configuration changes as well as to view and change bulk transfer status for individual field device parameters while providing the user contextual information regarding the field device components to which the field device parameters belong or relate. The system and method provide the user with typical or standard configuration screens that enable the user to perform configuration activities in a simple and well-known format, but that include contextual indications of the various field device components to which the displayed field device parameters relate. This functionality enables the user to view and change the bulk transfer status of the individual parameters, without needing to go to a separate application or screen.
