SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MASTERBATCH FEED CONTROL BASED ON COLOR FEEDBACK
Systems and methods are provided for controlling a color masterbatch feed rate in production of a manufactured part to match a color of the manufactured part to a target color by adjusting a concentration of masterbatch that is mixed with a raw material and fed into a processing machine for producing the manufactured part. Control of the color masterbatch feed rate is based on optical spectral properties of an in-line manufactured part, a known reference part having the target color, and an algorithm for calculating and adjusting the color masterbatch feed rate.

A control device for machine tools according to an aspect of the present disclosure controls a machine tool which cuts the workpiece by way of the cutting tool by causing the spindle and the feed axis to cooperatively act, the control device including: a feed command calculation unit which calculates a feed command for causing the feed axis to relatively move in relation to the workpiece; an oscillation phase calculation unit which calculates an oscillation phase that is a phase of oscillation to cause the feed axis to reciprocally move based on a rotation number of the spindle; an oscillation phase compensation unit which compensates the oscillation phase; an oscillation amplitude calculation unit which calculates an oscillation amplitude that is an amplitude of oscillation causing the feed axis to reciprocally move based on the feed command; an oscillation command calculation unit which calculates an oscillation command causing the feed axis to reciprocally move, based on the oscillation amplitude and the oscillation phase after compensation by the oscillation phase compensation unit; and a command synthesizing unit which calculates a synthetic command for driving the feed axis by superimposing the feed command and the oscillation command.

A controller of a machine tool includes a plurality of feed axes that feed a tool, machines a workpiece while making the tool oscillate and includes: an oscillation command creation unit which creates an oscillation command based on a machining condition; and a control unit which machines, based on the oscillation command and a movement command, the workpiece while making the tool oscillate, and the oscillation command creation unit creates, when the machining condition indicates machining by an interpolation operation of one feed axis of the plurality of feed axes, the oscillation command so as to make the tool oscillate in a direction along a machining path and changes, when the machining condition indicates machining by a simultaneous interpolation operation of the plurality of feed axes, the oscillation command so as to change the direction of the oscillation with respect to the machining path.
DRILLING SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
A drilling system including a feed control module, a force control module, a hole breaking control module, a conversion module and a computing unit is provided. The feed control module sets a feed force threshold and a feed speed threshold for the computing unit to determine whether the current mode satisfies a first conversion condition. The hole breaking control module sets a drilling penetration force threshold and a drilling penetration speed threshold for the computing unit to determine whether the current mode satisfies a second conversion condition. The conversion module informs to change the feed force and the feed speed according to the determination results of the two conversion conditions. The force control module provides the feed force. With the drilling system, possible impact on the workpiece due to resistance change which occurs when the drill just touches and nearly gets through the workpiece will be reduced.

A toolpath topology design method based on vector field in sub-regional processing for the curved surface is disclosed which comprising: finding the functional relationships in feeding direction between the chord error and the normal curvature and between the scallop-height error and the normal curvature; establishing the bi-objective optimization model and calculating the optimal feeding direction at each cutting contact point within the surface through the constructed evaluation function, the space vector field is built; calculating divergence and rotation of the projected vector field and according to whether them are zeros or not to classify different sub-regions, the primary surface segmentation is achieved, etc. The method is applied for the complex curved surface processing, which can reduce the machining error and enhance the feed motion stability.
