A system for monitoring and controlling a manufacturing environment is disclosed. Aspects discussed include beacons broadcasting identifying information for aspects of the manufacturing environment such as workstations, manufactured items, machines, equipment, and people. The identifying information may be used to generate reports about the operation of these and possibly other aspects, as well as provide control options for changing the manufacturing environment. Employees may move about the environment to visually monitor activities taking place, while the system may automatically query for additional information about the tools, equipment, people encountered in the environment. Control options for changing aspects of the manufacturing processes may also be automatically displayed as well.

The process monitoring device may be designed to carry out data processing for the sensor data and the process data, or the connection device may be designed to carry out data processing of the control data. The apparatus may include a field-programmable logic gate array device designed to change the hardware function.

A semiconductor manufacturing system has a turbine disposed inside a semiconductor manufacturing clean room. A controller is disposed outside the semiconductor manufacturing clean room and is coupled to the turbine through a first cable. A first computer is coupled to the controller through a second cable. The first computer has a web server configured to communicate with the controller via the second cable. A second computer is disposed in the semiconductor manufacturing clean room and is connected to the web server of the first computer. The web server hosts a web page including a reset button configured to issue a reset command to the controller. The web page also displays a status of the turbine.

Secure remote collaboration for equipment in a manufacturing facility

In some embodiments, a method is performed at a computer system of a manufacturer. The manufacturer operates a manufacturing facility that includes equipment from an equipment supplier. In the method, a request is received for electronic access by the equipment supplier to the manufacturing facility to perform a remote support activity for the equipment. The request is routed to predefined approvers. Approval of the request is received from the predefined approvers. In response to receiving approval of the request from the predefined approvers, a connection is automatically created between an electronic device in the manufacturing facility and a computer system for the equipment supplier. The connection is used for the remote support activity. Upon completion of the remote support activity, the connection is automatically terminated.

Cloud gateway for industrial automation information and control systems

A cloud gateway for coupling an industrial system to a cloud platform is provided. The cloud gateway collects data from one or more industrial controllers, meters, sensors, or other devices comprising an industrial automation system. The cloud gateway optionally performs additional transformations on the data to add context, summarize, filter, reformat, and/or encrypt the data. The cloud gateway then sends data to a cloud platform for use by one or more cloud-based applications or services. The cloud gateway can facilitate cloud-based data collection from both fixed-location and mobile industrial systems. The cloud gateway can also support store-and-forward logic, allowing industrial data to be temporarily stored in local storage in the event that communication between the cloud gateway and the cloud platform is disrupted.

The second control system receives data transmitted by the first control system and transmits at least part of the received data to the cloud server, and receives a control instruction from the cloud server and forwards the control instruction for controlling the operation of the vehicle to the first control system. The present application improves the adaptability and stability of the system, enhances the user experience and increases the safety of the vehicle.

The method includes: receiving an onboarding request of the device relating to an access to the multi-tenant virtual network of the industrial network; identifying and checking the device using an authentication module of the industrial network; transmitting a configuration file to the device in the event of a positive result of the check; configuring the device according to the configuration file received by the device; checking the access authorization of the configured device at an access point of the industrial network; and, in the event of a positive result of the check, granting the device access to the multi-tenant virtual network. An industrial network configured to carry out the aforementioned method is also provided.
