According to some embodiments, system and methods are provided including receiving, via a communication interface of an event detection and classification module comprising a processor, data from one or more sensors in a system; determining an event occurred based on the received data; applying a coherency similarity process to the received data via a classification module; determining whether the event is an actual event or a mal-doer event based on an output of the classification module; transmitting the determination of the event as the actual or the mal-doer event; and modifying operation of the system based on the transmitted output. Numerous other aspects are provided.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RETRAINING A MODEL A TARGET VARIABLE IN A TIERED FRAMEWORK
A method for operating an industrial automation system may involve receiving, via a first module of a plurality of modules in a control system, an indication that an error between a measurement associated with a target variable that corresponds with at least a portion of the industrial automation system and a modeled value for the target variable. The method may then involve determining, via the first module, whether the error is within a first range of values and retraining a model used to generate the modeled value for the target variable based on a portion of a plurality of sets of data points acquired via a plurality of sensors disposed in the industrial automation system in response to the error being within the first range of values.
PELLET GRILLS
Pellet grills and associated methods of operation are disclosed. An example pellet grill includes a lid, a cooking chamber, an engine, and one or more processors. The lid is movable between a closed position and an open position. The engine is configured to output heat to the cooking chamber. The one or more processors are configured to detect a closing movement of the lid. In response to detecting the closing movement, the one or more processors are configured to command the engine to operate in an increased output mode that increases the heat output of the engine.
Machining failure detection device, laser cutting apparatus, and electric discharge machining apparatus
A machining failure detection device includes a machining light measurement unit that measures machining light generated at a machining point during machining; a machining sound measurement unit that measures machining sound generated at the machining point; and a computation unit that determines whether a machining failure has occurred in the machining. The computation unit includes a feature extraction unit, a determination value calculation unit, and a determination unit. The feature extraction unit extracts a machining light feature from a machining light signal measured by the machining light measurement unit, and extracts a machining sound feature from a machining sound signal measured by the machining sound measurement unit. The determination value calculation unit calculates a combined failure determination value on the basis of the machining light feature and the machining sound feature. The determination unit compares the combined failure determination value with a determination criterion to determine a failure.
Abnormality determination device and abnormality determination method
An abnormality determination device includes an input unit to which a device-condition signal output from an operating device is input, a first memory configured to store a determination algorithm for determining a predetermined abnormality of the operating device, an abnormality determination unit configured to determine the predetermined abnormality of the operating device in accordance with the device-condition signal and the determination algorithm, an output unit configured to output a determination result regarding the predetermined abnormality made by the abnormality determination unit to a user, an operation unit configured to receive an input of true-or-false information of whether the determination result is correct from the user, and an update unit configured to update the determination algorithm in accordance with the true-or-false information.
APPARATUS FOR ASSISTING MAINTENANCE WORK, METHOD OF ASSISTING MAINTENANCE WORK, AND PROGRAM FOR ASSISTING MAINTENANCE WORK
An apparatus for assisting maintenance work, a method of assisting maintenance work, and a program for assisting maintenance work that assists maintenance work, while reducing the number of onside services by a maintenance operator, are provided. An apparatus for assisting maintenance work includes a first acquirement unit configured to acquire a data set including a combination of device information of a target device and operation information of the target device, or a data set including a combination of the device information of the target device and event information indicating an event for the target device. The apparatus for assisting maintenance work includes a second acquirement unit configured to acquire work content information indicating a content of maintenance work, for the target device, performed through a maintenance operator, the work content information indicating a replaced or repaired part, or a new part after replacement. The apparatus for assisting maintenance work includes a learning unit configured to perform learning based on the data set acquired by the first acquirement unit, the data set being associated with the replaced or repaired part, or the new part after replacement that is indicated by the work content information acquired by the second acquirement unit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING WELLSITE EVENT DETECTION
A method for detecting events includes receiving measurements from a plurality of sensors, and executing a machine learning model trained to identify events based on the measurements. The machine learning model identifies the events based on the measurements. The method also includes determining based on the measurements and the identified events that training applied to the machine learning model is to be modified. A modified training data set is generated based on the measurements and an initial training data set used to train the machine learning model to identify the events. The modified training data set is applied to retrain the machine learning model.
MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT METHOD, MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT DEVICE AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
A maintenance management method is capable of reducing a burden on work takeover, and is a maintenance management method related to maintenance management of a production facility related to gas or oil. In the maintenance management method, a computer acquires producer information regarding a producer that owns or manages the production facility, production facility information regarding the production facility, an inspection record in a case where inspection is performed on the production facility, and maintainer candidate information regarding a maintainer candidate that performs maintenance on the production facility. Further, the computer determines whether or not maintenance for the production facility is necessary on the basis of the inspection record, and performs control to communicate information regarding maintenance for the production facility to at least one of the producer and the maintainer candidate, when determining that maintenance is necessary.
