Reducing pathogen transmission in autonomous vehicle fleet
An autonomous vehicle (AV) implements a health protocol that may reduce pathogen transmission between users of the AV. The AV is equipped with a thermal sensor that captures a body temperature of a user. The AV compares the user's temperature to a threshold temperature, and if the user's temperature exceeds the threshold temperature, the AV performs checks to ensure that the user's planned trip follows current regulations or recommendations. For example, the AV confirms that the user is traveling between the user's home and a healthcare facility. If the trip is permitted, the AV enables the user to enter the AV. The AV may include a disinfectant system for disinfecting the passenger compartment or surfaces after the user exits the AV.
Transportation systems with optimization based on physiological state of occupants of vehicles
A transportation system, that optimizes at least one operating parameter of a vehicle based on a physiological state of an occupant of the vehicle, includes a sensor that senses a physiological condition of the occupant and that outputs data based on the sensed physiological condition. The transportation system further includes an artificial intelligence system that receives and processes the data to determine an emotional state of the occupant, and optimizes, for achieving a favorable emotional state of the occupant, the at least one operating parameter of the vehicle in response to detecting the emotional state of the occupant.
Framework for validating autonomy and teleoperations systems
According to one aspect, methods to validate an autonomy system in conjunction with a teleoperations system are provided. A computing device obtains simulation data of an autonomous driving system of a vehicle. The simulation data includes first environment data representing an environment in which the vehicle is driven using the autonomous driving system. The computing device obtains teleoperations driving data of a teleoperations driving system by which the vehicle is remotely controlled with an aid of a human. The teleoperations driving data includes second environment data representing the environment in which the vehicle is driven using the teleoperations driving system. The computing device determines whether the autonomous driving system in conjunction with the teleoperations driving system meets a minimum deployment standard based on the simulation data and the teleoperations driving data.
Framework for validating autonomy and teleoperations systems
According to one aspect, methods to validate an autonomy system in conjunction with a teleoperations system are provided. Described herein is a method comprising (a) sending unmanned aircraft system (UAS) data providing a first UAS location indication on a map on a display of the computing device, wherein the first UAS location indication comprises an aggregate indication of a plurality of UASs located within a first area on the map, (b) receiving data comprising a request for additional information related to the first UAS location indication, (c) in response to receiving the request for additional information, sending additional location data related to the plurality of UASs, including a plurality of second UAS location indications at a plurality of locations within the first area on the map, wherein each second UAS indication corresponds to a subset of the plurality of UASs represented by the first UAS location indication, and (d) updating the display of the computing device to show the plurality of second UAS location indications.
TAKING CORRECTIVE ACTION BASED UPON TELEMATICS DATA BROADCAST FROM ANOTHER VEHICLE
A computer-implemented method of using telematics data associated with an originating vehicle at a destination vehicle is provided. The method may include receiving telematics data associated with the originating vehicle by (1) a mobile device or (2) a smart vehicle controller associated with a driver or vehicle. The mobile device or smart vehicle controller may analyze the telematics data received to determine that (i) a travel event exists, or (ii) that a travel event message or warning is embedded within the telematics broadcast received. If the travel event exits, the method may include automatically taking a preventive or corrective action, at or via the mobile device or smart vehicle controller, which alleviates a negative impact of the travel event on the driver or vehicle to facilitate safer or more efficient vehicle travel. Insurance discounts may be provided to insureds based upon their usage of the risk mitigation or prevention functionality.

A ship monitoring system includes: a shipboard information processing apparatus and including a shipboard communication unit and an information acquisition unit; and a support information processing apparatus and including: a support side communication unit capable of communicating with the shipboard communication unit; a time lag identification unit; and a state prediction unit. The time lag identification unit identifies a time from transmission of the ship motion information from the shipboard communication unit to reception of the ship motion information by the support side communication unit as a reception time lag. The state prediction unit inputs the ship motion information and the reception time lag to a ship motion model related to the ship motion of the ship to predict a motion state of the ship ahead of a motion state of the ship indicated by the ship motion information by a period of time based on the reception time lag.

The received data includes one or more locations of a device in a facility, and the management module further includes one or both of software and hardware configured to generate data representative of cleaning behavior associated with the device based on the received data. The cleaning behavior includes timing and movement of the device in the facility, and a cleanliness level of at least one area in the facility.
