A valve piece urging member urges a valve piece toward a valve closing side, at which an opening degree of a restriction passage is reduced by the valve piece. An actuation member exerts a drive force against the valve piece in a direction of moving the valve piece toward a valve opening side, at which the opening degree of the restriction passage is increased by the valve piece. A vibration limiting member limits vibration of the valve piece in a direction, which intersects with the axial direction, by generating an urging force for urging the valve main body at a location between the valve main body and the valve piece. When the valve piece is moved beyond a predetermined displacement position toward the valve opening side, the valve piece releases the urging force of the vibration limiting member.

A fluid regulator includes a regulator body having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet connected by a fluid flow path, with a portion of the regulator body forming a first chamber, an orifice disposed in the fluid flow path, a seat, and a control element disposed within the fluid flow path and shiftable between an open position spaced away from the seat and a closed position seated against the seat, with the control element arranged to respond to fluid pressure changes to control flow of a process fluid through the orifice. A diaphragm has a radially inner portion that is operatively coupled to the control element and a radially outer portion that is operatively coupled to the regulator body. The diaphragm includes a resilient redundant diaphragm sandwiched between two metal diaphragms, the diaphragm providing two separate seals.

A control valve of an embodiment includes a disc coaxially in contact with a diaphragm, and a shaft configured to transmit a drive force in an axial direction caused by displacement of the diaphragm to a valve element. The diaphragm has a corrugated portion between a flat portion and the outer peripheral portion, the flat portion having a contact surface with which the disc is in contact. The corrugated portion includes substantially N+0.5 corrugations (N being a natural number) each protruding relative to a reference surface, the corrugations being formed between the outer peripheral portion and the flat portion, the reference surface being one surface of the outer peripheral portion. A height of each of the N corrugations of the corrugated portion is smaller than a height of the flat portion, the heights each being a height relative to the reference surface in an unloaded condition.

In certain embodiments the valve actuator member is configured to move in response to changes in differential pressure between a pressure in the enclosure chamber and pressure from the outside, and a module valve, inside the balancing module housing, connected to the valve actuator member, and fluidically separating the enclosure chamber from the port to the outside, wherein the module valve is configured to open and close in response to the movement of the valve actuator member.

In at least some implementations, a pressure regulator includes a first body, a second body coupled to the first body and a diaphragm having a portion trapped between the first body and the second body and a not trapped portion that is movable relative to the first body and second body. A stop surface is defined by the second body, and a backing member is coupled to the not trapped portion of the diaphragm for movement with the not trapped portion of the diaphragm. The backing member engages the stop surface to limit the amount the not trapped portion of the diaphragm can move toward the second body.
