Thermal wax bypass valve utilizing rigid seal carrier
A bypass system has a source of a fluid to be cooled and a heat exchanger for selectively cooling fluid. A piston is moveable along an axis allowing movement of a valve poppet toward and away from the valve seat. The piston moves with a rigid seal carrier. The rigid seal carrier and the piston move within a valve housing. A wax element is disposed on an opposed axial side of the rigid seal carrier relative to a chamber, such that the wax element expands as a temperature of the fluid to be cooled increases, and causes the valve poppet to move against the valve seat. A bypass valve is also disclosed.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL APPARATUS
In a temperature control apparatus for controlling the temperature of a load by supplying high-temperature circulating liquid to the load, a device in which a helical channel portion of a first heat exchange channel through which circulating liquid flows is housed in a second heat exchange channel formed of a channel space in a hollow shell through which coolant flows is used as a heat exchanger for cooling the circulating liquid, cylindrical members are individually fitted on an inflow channel portion and an outflow channel portion connected to opposite ends of the helical channel portion of the first heat exchange channel, and the cylindrical members are each fixed to the shell of the heat exchanger with a weld.
Mixing unit, related mixer tap, and method for manufacturing such a mixer tap
A mixing unit with a mixer tap for mixing two fluids and a method for manufacturing the mixer tap for mixing fluids are disclosed. The mixing unit has a cartridge, which is provided with a coupling base having an inlet for a first inflow, an inlet for a second inflow, and an outlet for an outflow obtained by mixing the inflows. The mixing unit also has a housing designed to be placed in a coupled position with the coupling base. The housing is designed to change the rate of the first inflow and/or second inflow on the basis of the temperature of the outflow. The mixing unit also includes an attachment for attaching a housing to the coupling base. The attachment allows for movement of the additional housing, in relation to the cartridge, between the coupled position and a separated position.
HOT TEMPERATURE RESTRICTED VALVE
A temperature responsive valve includes a housing and a cylindrical structure disposed within the housing. The housing defines an inlet passageway and an outlet passageway wherein the cylinder body of the cylindrical structure is disposed between the inlet passageway and the outlet passageway. The cylindrical structure includes a first layer so that the cylindrical structure is configured to expand from a decreased diameter to an increased diameter when the first layer of the cylindrical structure is exposed to an increased pre-determined temperature range causing the cylindrical structure restricts the inlet passageway and the outlet passageway at such increased pre-determined temperature range.
Mixing unit and mixer tap including such a mixing unit
A mixing unit for a mixer tap has a first intake for a first incoming stream, and a second intake for a second incoming stream. The mixing unit mixes the first and second incoming streams in order to form an output stream, and has an outlet for the output stream. A thermostat includes a heat-sensitive portion and a translationally movable portion along an axis. A seal of the second intake is connected to the movable portion. A recess connects the outlet with the second intake and housing and is sealed by the heat-sensitive portion and the translationally movable portion. The outlet has an abutment to restrain the translational movement of the heat-sensitive portion along the axis, in a direction parallel to the axis and opposite to the seal. The abutment limits the movement of the heat-sensitive portion and the translationally movable portion outside of the recess to avoid breaking the tight seal.
TEMPERATURE VARYING WATER DELIVERY SYSTEMS
A tempered hot water delivery system configured to prevent or reduce colonisation of Legionella bacteria in tempered water delivered from the system to one or more outlets in a facility. The system comprises: a thermostatic mixing valve comprising; a hot water inlet for connection to a supply of hot water at a temperature of at least 60 C., a cold water inlet for connection to a supply of cold water, a tempered water outlet for supplying tempered water obtained from mixing the supplied hot water and cold water to provide tempered water at a temperature of between 36 C. to about 53 C. to at least one tempered water outlet of a facility, a recirculating inlet for connection to a recirculating water line circuit; and a recirculating water line circuit comprising a circulating return line connected to a circulating return outlet from the facility and to a water inlet feed line for connection to an inlet of a water heater and storage tank for providing the supply of hot water, the recirculating water line circuit further comprising a thermostatic element configured to introduce hot water to the recirculating water line circuit to maintain the temperature of water in the recirculating water line circuit during periods of little or no draw-off.
Faucet cartridge
The faucet of cartridge has an expandable temperature regulating rod in the main body. The temperature of water is regulated by changing the ratio of cold water and hot water by the movement of the temperature regulating rod. The water can be switched on or off by rotating the main body with respect to the seat. The main body includes an outer body, an inner body, and an anti-leaking element. The anti-leaking element is sandwiched between the outer body and the inner body to partition the space therebetween into two channels for cold and hot water to flow into the inner body.
Method And System For Dynamic Control Of Game Audio Based On Audio Analysis
A headset, during play of a particular game, receives a plurality of audio channels carrying game sounds and determines whether a first of the game sounds overwhelms a second of the game sounds. In response to the determination, the headset adjusts a level of one or more of the audio channels such that perceptibility of the second game sound is improved relative to perceptibility of the first game sound prior to the adjustment, wherein for the adjustment, a level of one or more of the audio channels carrying the first game sound is decreased while a level of one or more of the audio channels carrying the second game sound is maintained or increased. The audio channels include three or more audio channels and the adjustment of the level of the audio channels is performed while the three or more audio channels are combined into two stereo channels.
