Method and system for dynamic control of game audio based on audio analysis
A gaming device, during play of a particular game, receives a plurality of audio channels carrying game sounds and determines whether a first of the game sounds overwhelms a second of the game sounds. In response to the determination, the gaming device adjusts a level of one or more of the audio channels such that perceptibility of the second game sound is improved relative to perceptibility of the first game sound prior to the adjustment, wherein for the adjustment, a level of one or more of the audio channels carrying the first game sound is decreased while a level of one or more of the audio channels carrying the second game sound is maintained or increased. The audio channels include three or more audio channels and the adjustment of the level of the audio channels is performed while the three or more audio channels are combined into two stereo channels.
WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
A system and method of operating a water supply system with one or more water consuming appliances is provided. A water supply system includes a water heater fluidly coupled to a water consuming appliance through a supply conduit. The water consuming appliance includes an appliance communication module for communicating a target temperature. A mixing valve is positioned on the supply conduit and is in operative communication with the appliance communication module. The mixing valve mixes heated water from the water heater and cold water from the water supply to provide a flow of supply water to the water consuming appliance at the target temperature. The water supply system may further include a second water consuming appliance, a second supply conduit, and a second mixing valve for providing the second water consuming appliance with a flow of heated water at a different set point temperature.
Water heater appliance
A water heater appliance includes a tank and a heated water conduit that extends from the tank. A mixing valve is coupled to the heated water conduit, and a mixed water conduit extends from the mixing valve. A thermal mass is positioned on the mixed water conduit, and a thermal safety sensor is positioned at the thermal mass.
Single-control thermostatic cartridge
A cartridge with a controller for controlling cold and hot fluid flows to form a mixture, a slide valve for controlling a mixture temperature, a thermostatic element that controls a position of the slide valve along an axis, and a single handle for controlling the mixture flow and temperature, which is movably mounted to actuate and drive the controller and move the thermostatic element along the axis.
Water heater appliance
A water heater appliance includes a tank and a heated water conduit extending from the tank. A mixing valve is coupled to the heated water conduit, and a heat trap is mounted to the heated water conduit upstream of the mixing valve. The heat trap includes a membrane disposed within the heated water conduit. The membrane of the heat trap may assist with obstructing recirculation of heated water from the tank into the heated water conduit.
Diesel fuel temperature relief valve
A thermostatic valve for a diesel fuel system includes a valve housing and a valve element movable within the housing between a position directing heated diesel fuel returning from an engine to the inlet of a fuel pump and a position dumping the fuel into a reservoir where the fuel mixes with lower temperature fuel. A temperature responsive thermostatic element moves the valve element in response to the temperature of the diesel fuel. A temperature relief valve is provided in the housing to dump the returning fuel into the reservoir if the temperature reaches a temperature indicating overheating of the fuel. The temperature relief valve is a bi-metal valve mounted in an end wall of the valve housing.
Thermostatic valve with anti-failure provisions
Embodiments include eyewash valves in which the temperature of the water emerging from the valve is thermostatically controlled by a wax motor which regulates the flow of hot and cold water through the valve. Embodiments include provisions for continuing water flow through the valve despite failure of the hot water supply. Embodiments also include provisions for water flow through the valve despite failure of the wax motor in the upper position or in the lower position.
Method and system for dynamic control of game audio based on audio analysis
A headset, during play of a particular game, receives a plurality of audio channels carrying game sounds and determines whether a first of the game sounds overwhelms a second of the game sounds. In response to the determination, the headset adjusts a level of one or more of the audio channels such that perceptibility of the second game sound is improved relative to perceptibility of the first game sound prior to the adjustment, wherein for the adjustment, a level of one or more of the audio channels carrying the first game sound is decreased while a level of one or more of the audio channels carrying the second game sound is maintained or increased. The audio channels include three or more audio channels and the adjustment of the level of the audio channels is performed while the three or more audio channels are combined into two stereo channels.

THERMOSTATIC VALVE
The valve includes a housing, a thermostatic element, a first shutter displaced by the thermostatic element along an axis relative to a first seat integrated into the housing to control a flow of fluid between the first and second paths, a cage, a first return spring, a second shutter axially displaced by the thermostatic element relative to a second shutter axially displaced by the thermostatic element with respect to a second seat integrated into the cage, a third shutter axially displaced by the fluid overpressure in the second path relative to a third seat integral with the cage, and a second return spring. The cage includes a tubular part, which is centred on the axis and through the interior of which fluid flows between the second and third paths. An outer face of the tubular part is provided with a seal. The cage also includes arms.
