SURFACE-TREATED IMPLANT STRUCTURE
Provided is a surface-treated implant structure. The implant structure according to an aspect includes a fixture acting as an artificial tooth root, and the nano-protrusions included in the outer peripheral surface of the fixture exhibit a certain level of height, depth, and aspect ratio.
SACROILIAC JOINT STABILIZATION SYSTEM
A sacroiliac joint implant system includes a primary implant configured to be received in a sacroiliac joint of a patient and a secondary implant configured to couple with the primary implant. The primary implant includes a body extending from a proximal end to a distal end and a plurality of threads extending from the body. The secondary implant includes a first anchor configured to anchor within a sacrum of the patient and a second anchor configured to anchor within an ilium of the patient.
VARIABLE LORDOSIS SPACER AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
An expandable fusion device may include a first endplate and a second endplate. The expandable fusion device may also include first and second ramps configured to mate with both the first and second endplates. An inserter instrument includes an outer shaft having a bore extending longitudinally therethrough and an inner shaft extending through the bore in the outer shaft. The outer shaft is configured to engage the first or second opening in the second ramp, and the inner shaft is configured to engage the corresponding first or second opening in the first ramp to control implant height and/or lordotic angle.
ARTIFICIAL JOINT STEM
In the present disclosure, an artificial joint stem includes a base extending in a vertical direction when a proximal side of a human body in use is defined as an upward direction, and a coating film containing a calcium phosphate-based material and an antimicrobial material disposed on a part of the base. The base includes one or more boundary lines on the base defined by a presence or absence of the coating film. The one or more boundary lines include a first boundary line located on a lower side of the base with respect to the coating film. The first boundary line is located so as to intersect the vertical direction. A component along the vertical direction of the first boundary line is smaller than a component along a width direction of the base.
PROSTHETIC IMPLANTS INCLUDING A FRAME FOR FIXATION TO BONE AND RELATED METHODS
The present disclosure provides for prosthetic implants to be used in various surgical repairs, including for procedures like total shoulder arthroplasties and reverse total shoulder arthroplasties. The implants include two main parts—a frame and a prosthetic component. The frame includes an aperture that is configured to receive the prosthetic component, allowing the prosthetic component to make direct contact with bone at the surgical site. Various configurations are provided that allow the prosthetic component to be coupled to or otherwise engage with the frame, and at least some of the configurations are such that the reverse procedures can be done without having to fully re-tool and/or modify the bone. A variety of procedures resulting from the improved implants are also provided.
Disc replacement device and method of use
A disc replacement device including a first body member with a convex articulation surface and a second body member with a concave articulation surface is disclosed. When operably positioned, the convex articulation surface engages the concave articulation surface to provide for movement therebetween. The disc replacement device also includes a first opening in the first body member and a second opening in the second body member, wherein the openings are angled and extends from the front aspects of the body members through the external surfaces. The disc replacement device further includes at least two bone fasteners for insertion into the first and second openings to secure the disc replacement device to a first and second vertebra. An interbody motion device and fusion implant, as well as a surgical method for implantation are also disclosed.
Customized load-bearing and bioactive functionally-graded implant for treatment of osteonecrosis
An engineered medical device for treatment of osteonecrosis is provided where the size, porosity and ceramic content of the device can be personalized based on an individual patient's anatomical and physiological condition. The device distinguishes different segments mimicking anatomically-relevant cortical and cancellous segments, in which the cortical segments of the device can sustain mechanical loading, and the cancellous segment of the device can promote bone ingrowth, osteogenesis and angiogenesis.
Spine stabilization device, and method and kit for its implantation
A spine stabilization device having an interbody spacer shaped to be inserted between a vertebral body of an upper vertebra and a vertebral body of a lower vertebra. The device further includes a fixation device to be inserted after placement of the interbody spacer, the fixation device having a support portion securing the interbody spacer against escaping from between the vertebral bodies into a ventral direction. The support portion rests against a portion of an anterior surface of the interbody spacer, and includes an anchor. The anchor has an anchoring material portion that is inserted, in a liquid state, into cancellous bone tissue of at least one of the vertebral bodies of the upper and lower vertebra, to thereby infiltrate the cancellous bone tissue, and to harden thereafter so as to fix the support portion to the vertebral body.
VARIABLE LORDOSIS SPACER AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
An expandable fusion device may include a first endplate and a second endplate. The expandable fusion device may also include first and second ramps configured to mate with both the first and second endplates. The first ramp may include a mating feature having a first angle relative to a vertical axis, and the second ramp may include a mating feature having a second angle relative to the vertical axis such that the first angle is different from the second angle. In particular, the first and second ramps may be configured to provide for symmetrical expansion of the first and second endplates.
ANKLE PROSTHESIS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
The present disclosure pertains to ankle prostheses. In an example embodiment, the ankle prosthesis comprises an adjustable and replaceable intermediate implant that is disposed between a tibial implant and a talar implant. The intermediate implant is adjustable relative to the tibial implant and can be interlocked therewith once adjusted. Methods of using, fitting, and adjusting the device are also described. Still other embodiments are described.
