The at least one surface may be substantially parallel with the elongate member's length and with the at least one direction, and may be provided with at least one transmitter coil and at least one receiver coil. In use, the transmitter coil(s) may induce signal(s) in the receiver coil(s) and the metal dial(s) may interfere with the induction. Moving the elongate member may cause relative movement between the surface(s) and the metal dial(s) which may vary the induced signal(s) based on a position of the metal dial(s).

The configurable face plate may include one of a pair of upshift and downshift buttons or a roller configured to perform one of discrete or continuously variable shifting, respectively, of a transmission of the machine. Electrical power assisted device for controlling an aerial bucket with a hydraulic movement system

Devices for controlling movement of aerial buckets via hydraulic systems. Each hydraulic system has valves that control movement of the aerial bucket. A control head of the device has a joystick that is moveable and encoders that detect movement of the joystick. A valve actuator manifold of the device is coupled between the control head and the hydraulic system and supports valve actuators moveably coupled to the valves. Servo drive systems supported by the valve actuator manifold are coupled to the valve actuators and are controllable to move the valve actuators. A processor module of the device is in communication with the encoders and the servo drive systems. The processor module controls the servo drive systems based on input from the encoders such that moving the joystick controls movement of the aerial bucket.

Control stick

A control stick includes a control portion, a first electrical contact portion and a second electrical contact portion. The control portion has plural first moving contact points, the first electrical contact portion has a control board and plural first static contact points corresponding to the first moving contact points respectively, and a gap exists between the first moving contact point and the respective first static contact point. The first static contact points are electrically connected with the control board. When the control portion swings towards one of the first moving contact points, the first moving contact point is contacted and conducted with the first static contact point. This control stick is capable of achieving the control of a multiple of variables to meet the requirements of controlling a multiple variable in some occasions.

The magnetic field varies inhomogeneously with regards to at least one of the three magnetic field components upon rotation of the magnet about the rotation axis.
