DISPLAY SYSTEM AND DISPLAY DEVICE

Provided is a display system or a display device that is suitable for increasing in size. The display system includes a first display panel, a second display panel, a detection means, and a compensation means. The first display panel includes a first display region. The second display panel includes a second display region. The first display region and the second display region include a first region where they overlap. The detection means has a function of detecting the size of the first region. The compensation means has a function of compensating an image displayed on the first display region in accordance with the change in the size of the first region.

Automatic Display Orientation Configuration

Host content is received from a host device coupled to an external display device. The host content is displayed on the external display device when an orientation state of the external display device is a first orientation state. Change of the orientation state from the first orientation state to a second orientation state is detected, e.g., with a sensor. Orientation data corresponding to the second orientation state is transmitted to the host device. Host content, which has been transformed by a rendering pipeline configured at the host device based on the transmitted orientation data corresponding to the second orientation state, is received from the host device. The transformed host content is displayed on the external display device in response to the orientation state of the display device being changed to the second orientation state. In other embodiments, the display may be updated continuously during the orientation change.

Electronic device

An electronic device includes a first body, a second body and a hinge assembly. The hinge assembly includes a bearing base, a movable base, a first hinge mechanism, a second hinge mechanism and a switching member. The bearing base is connected to the first body and has a first engaging portion. The first hinge mechanism is connected between the movable base and the second body. The second hinge mechanism is connected between the movable base and the bearing base. The first and second hinge mechanisms are connected to adjacent sides of the movable base. The switching member includes a main body slidably connected to the movable base in a switching direction, a second engaging portion engaged with or disengaged from the first engaging portion as the main body moves, and an interference portion entering or exiting the first hinge mechanism as the main body moves.

Systems and methods for presentation of input elements based on direction to a user

In one aspect, a device includes at least one processor, at least one touch-sensitive display accessible to the at least one processor, and storage accessible to the at least one processor. The storage includes instructions executable by the at least one processor to present at least a first input element in a first orientation on the at least one touch-sensitive display and to receive a signal from at least one sensor indicating a direction to a user in proximity to the at least one touch-sensitive display. The instructions are also executable to, responsive to the signal, present the first input element in a second orientation on the at least one touch-sensitive display.

A portable laptop computing device includes an internal casing that stores secondary displays which extend outward from the device's primary display to thereby increase the amount of displays a user can view while operating the device. The secondary displays are positioned inside a casing of the primary display which is large enough to house at least two displays. The two displays are connected to a hinge which is configured to provide inward and outward movement and rotational movement of the secondary display about 360. The system can also be implemented with an expansive ecosystem of interoperable components, including an add-on component from which secondary displays can extend, vertical screen adapters which can replace the customary horizontal configuration, a stand to which the add-on component can connect, and a horizontal screen adapter that connects with the stand to provide a convenient three-display set-up when used with the add-on component.

AUXILIARY MONITOR SYSTEM

According to an aspect of the disclosure, an auxiliary monitor system is provided. The auxiliary monitor system includes a first auxiliary monitor configured to be coupled to a primary monitor, a second auxiliary monitor, and at least one fastener configured to removably couple the first auxiliary monitor to the second auxiliary monitor.

Mobile terminal

The present disclosure discloses a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal includes a housing, a display screen, a functional module and a rotating member, the housing defines a recess and a first engaging structure; the display screen is positioned in the housing; the rotating member is rotatably coupled to the housing, wherein the functional module is mounted on the rotating member, the rotating member comprises a second engaging structure cooperated with the first engaging structure, one of the first engaging structure and the second engaging structure is a curved slot communicated with the recess, the other one of the first engaging structure and the second engaging structure is a slider slidably engaged in the curved slot thereby enabling the rotating member to rotate according to an axis of the curved slot, such that the functional module is positioned in the recess or exposed from the housing.

Point of sale device with cradle for mobile computing device

A point of sale (POS) device includes a nest portion and a cradle portion. The nest portion includes one or more payment card or near field communication (NFC) readers. The cradle portion couples to differently-sized interchangeable frames, which in turn help secure a mobile computing device to the cradle portion of the POS device. The mobile computing device is connected via a connector to the rest of the POS device. Payment card information read by the readers is conveyed to the mobile computing device over the connector for processing. The POS device may also include tamper detection circuitry.
