An electronic device and method of operating an electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a temperature measurement unit configured to measure a temperature of each of multiple components of the electronic device, and a controller configured to change, based on a first reference temperature, an operating frequency of the controller to a first operating frequency when a temperature of the controller, measured by the temperature measurement unit, reaches the first reference temperature and change, based on a third reference temperature that is lower than the first reference temperature, the operating frequency of the controller to a second operating frequency when a temperature of at least one component of the multiple components reaches a second reference temperature while the controller operates at the first operating frequency.

A flexible display device includes: a shell; a flexible display panel, having a first end and a second end arranged opposite to each other; a fixed support member, fixedly connected with the first end of the flexible display panel for supporting the first end of the flexible display panel, the fixed support member being movably connected to the shell; a sliding reel, where the flexible display panel is rolled on the sliding reel, and the sliding reel is rotatably arranged in the shell; and a support member, rolled on the sliding reel and located between the sliding reel and the flexible display panel, where an end of the support member is fixedly connected with the sliding reel, an opposite end of the support member is fixedly connected with the fixed support member, and the support member is configured to support the flexible display panel when the flexible display panel is expanded.

The present specification provides a mobile terminal, which can simultaneously enable unlocking and display expansion, and a control method therefor. A mobile terminal of the present invention comprises a flexible display unit which can expand in size. If a knock code via a user's touch input on the display unit matches a preconfigured pattern, a display positioned on the front side can expand in size as the mobile terminal unlocks.

A portable electronic device with a movable door cover including a host, at least one door cover pivoted to the host to be opened or closed relative to the host, at least one linking member connected to the door cover, a shape-memory alloy (SMA) spring connected between the linking member and the host, and a heat source disposed in the host is provided. The SMA spring is affected by heat generated from the heat source to form at least two stretching states, and drives the door cover through the linking member to form at least two states including said being opened or closed.

An electronic device according to various embodiments may include: a housing, a flexible display having at least a partial area configured to be drawn out from the housing so that a size of a visible area of the flexible display can be changed, a sensor configured to measure a length of the flexible display, a memory, a processor operatively connected to the memory, the sensor, and the flexible display. The processor may be configured to control the electronic device to: display a first content including at least one image in a first area including a partial area of the flexible display in response to an input, measure a length of the flexible display drawn out from the housing using the sensor, based on the length of the flexible display measured using the sensor being a specified first length, determine that the electronic device is in a non-expanded state, and based on the length of the flexible display measured using the sensor being a second length longer than the first length, determine that the electronic device is in an expanded state. In addition, the processor may be configured to control the electronic device to: based on the electronic device being in an expanded state, display the first content in the first area, and display a user interface corresponding to at least one application and/or second content obtained by converting the first content into a form corresponding to a function provided by the at least one application in a second area including a partial area of the flexible display, drawn out from the housing to be visible, and transmit, in response to an input, data corresponding to the first content to a server connected to the at least one application.

A hinge structure for a mobile communication terminal that is foldable in two opposite directions is provided. The hinge structure for a mobile communication terminal having a flexible display panel installed therein is foldable inward and outward in a fully unfolded state such that the flexible display panel is disposed inside and outside and a screen on which an image such as a moving image is displayed is invisibly disposed inside or visibly disposed outside in a state in which the mobile communication terminal is folded.

An electronic device includes a first body, a second body coupled to the first body, a trigger device, and a processing device. The trigger device is configured to generate a trigger instruction based on a trigger operation. The trigger device is placed in an area that is responsive to a movement of the first body relative to the second body. The processing device is configured to switch the electronic device from a first state to a second state in response to the trigger instruction. A power consumption state of the first state is different from a power consumption state of the second state.

A mobile terminal and a control method therefor are disclosed. The mobile terminal includes a body, an input unit configured to receive a user input, a display coupled to the body to vary a display region viewed from a front of the body according to switching between an enlarged display mode and a reduced display mode, and a controller. The controller controls the display to be extended by a first region upon receiving a first signal, and controls the display to activate a touch function of the first region after activating an output function of the first region, based on extension of the display by the first region.

The sliding rail assembly includes at least one fixing member and at least one sliding rail, the fixing member is fixed to a housing assembly of the electronic device and provided with a first sliding groove, and the sliding rail has an end slidably limited in the first sliding groove. The driving assembly is fixed to the housing assembly, coupled to the sliding rail, and configured to drive the at least one sliding rail to slide outwards from a retracted state to an extended state from the housing assembly and to slide inwards towards the retracted state of the housing assembly from the extended state.
