Flexible display device and portable electronic device

A flexible display device includes: first and second casings; a frame movably assembled to the second casing; and a flexible display having first and second ends opposite to each other and first and second display areas. The second casing is movably assembled to the first casing to form a drawer configuration and slide relative to the first casing to switch between drawn-out and retracted states. The first end is connected to the first casing. The second end to the frame. In the retracted state, the flexible display is bent so the second display area is contained in the first and second casings. In a process from the retracted state to the drawn-out state, the second casing is drawn out from the first casing and drives the frame to move in the same direction to expand and flatten the second display area. A portable electronic device is also provided.

A hinge is mountable on a flexible display unit including a housing shell unit and a display unit. The hinge includes a base seat, a torsion module disposed above the base seat and secured to the display unit, and a bracket module disposed below the base seat. The torsion module includes two outer supporting units and an inner supporting unit at two ends and a middle of the base seat. The bracket module has two brackets securely connected to two support plates of the display unit and rotatable relative to the base seat. The hinge is rotatable between an unfolded position where the brackets are in an unfolded state, and an outfolding position where the brackets are close to and face each other. The outer and inner supporting units cooperatively define a semicircular-shaped supporting surface in the outfolding position for supporting the display unit.

FLEXIBLE DISPLAY DEVICE

A flexible display device is provided. The flexible display device includes a first housing, a second housing, a rolling mechanism, a flexible display screen, and a support plate mechanism. The flexible display screen can be retracted or expanded relative to the rolling mechanism. When the flexible display screen is completely expanded, a second support surface of a support plate and a first support surface of the second housing support the flexible display screen with their whole surfaces, thereby preventing the flexible display screen from collapsing and deforming.

The present disclosure provides a mobile terminal capable of expanding a display unit, and a control method therefor. When an event occurs, the mobile terminal of the present disclosure provides a user with convenience by enabling the user to select whether to expand the display unit upon execution of the event. Specifically, the event can be the execution of a specific application or the reception of a notification related to a call or a message.

ATTACHABLE DISPLAY DEVICE

The present disclosure provides an attachable external display screen for use on electronic devices. The display screen may be removably mounted onto a surface of an electronic device to provide the user with an additional display screen. The attachable display screen may utilize a dual sliding mechanism that allows for the display screen to slide out to different lengths relative to the screen of the electronic device. The attachable display screen may also utilize a torque hinge to pivotally couple the display screen to a frame that mounts onto the electronic device. The attachable display screen is rotatable about both the horizontal and vertical axes, which allows a user to tilt and adjust the angle of the display screen.

Methods and systems for determining a position of a structure using inductive position sensing are described. In an example, a processor may receive a plurality of data points representing a plurality of voltages. The plurality of voltages may be generated by a plurality of sensor coils based on a magnetic flux field. The magnetic flux field may be generated by a plurality of driver coils, and the plurality of voltages may vary with changes in the magnetic flux field. The processor may calibrate the plurality of data points to generate a plurality of calibrated data points. The processor may filter the plurality of calibrated data points. The processor may estimate a position of the structure based on the filtered calibrated data points, where the position of the structure may indicate a size of a size changing device.
