PEN HOLDER AND DISPLAY SYSTEM
A pen holder includes a holder to hold an electronic pen including a replaceable pen tip that contacts a screen of a display apparatus for input to the display apparatus. The pen holder further includes a pulling-out portion to pull out the pen tip, having an open end in a first direction and including a gripping portion. The gripping portion includes a first wall and a second to grip the pen tip inserted from the open end in the first direction. The first wall linearly extends in the first direction, and the second wall linearly extends in the first direction and disposed at a distance from the first wall in a second direction intersecting the first direction.
CONVEYING VEHICLE-RELATED INFORMATION USING THERMAL TOUCH AND HAPTICS
A portable display apparatus for conveying vehicle-related information using thermal and haptic touch is provided. The portable display apparatus includes circuitry communicatively coupled to a temperature control unit of the portable display apparatus. The circuitry receives from one or more first sensors associated with a vehicle, first temperature information associated with an interior space of the vehicle or an ambient environment of the vehicle and determines a temperature setting based on received first temperature information. The circuitry detects a physical-contact between the portable display apparatus and one of a skin portion or a cloth portion worn by a user. Thereafter, the circuitry controls the temperature control unit based on the determined temperature setting and the detected physical-contact. The temperature control unit is controlled to change a current temperature of at least a first section of the portable display apparatus to a first temperature, which is different from the current temperature.
Systems and methods for coupling sections of an electronic device
This is directed to systems and methods for coupling sections of an electronic device together. Sections of an electronic device can be coupled together via “knuckles.” The particular shape and structure of the knuckles can be based on various design considerations. For example, in some embodiments each section can function as an individual antenna. In this case, the knuckles can be designed in order to provide electrical isolation between the sections, thus allowing proper operation of the antennas. For example, the knuckles can be formed from a dielectric material, etc. As another design example, the knuckles can be designed in order to provide increased strength in areas of high strain, and/or to counteract torsional twisting in areas of high impact. As yet another design example, the knuckle can be designed in a manner that is aesthetically pleasing or which otherwise meets cosmetic requirements.
Addressable display system for ICA monitoring and annunciation for certified applications running on a personal electronic device
An addressable display system configured for use in a mounting adapter configured to mount a personal electronic device (PED) on an aircraft includes a transparent surface configured to overlay the display surface of a PED when the PED is mounted in the mounting adapter wherein the transparent surface includes a region that is uniformly coated with a coating layer that when activated with a select excitation wavelength is configured to emit visible light to annunciate a message indicating a problem with an image displayed on a PED display; a lighting source configured to provide light in at an excitation wavelength; a MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) scanner module that is controllable to write desired symbology for annunciation at different addressable locations on the transparent surface; and an imaging device configured to capture an image of the PED display for an integrity check of data displayed on the PED display.
Display device
A display device includes: a backlight unit, a camera hole penetrating the backlight unit, a camera in the camera hole, a liquid crystal panel on the backlight unit, the liquid crystal panel including a transparent portion on the camera hole, and at least one light-blocking member in the camera hole, the at least one light-blocking member being configured to reduce one or more of: light leakage from the camera hole and introduction of impurities into the camera hole.
Redundant memory for underwater instrumentation
A redundant memory for use with an instrument arranged to acquire and store data while underwater. Such an instrument comprises a main housing which contains instrument electronics that acquires and may process data received from one or more sensors, with a primary memory located within the main housing and arranged to store at least some of the acquired and/or processed data, and a secondary memory which stores a copy of the data stored in the primary memory. The instrumentation may be arranged to write data to the primary and secondary memories contemporaneously in either a burst or continuous mode, or with primary memory backed up to secondary memory periodically and/or in response to the occurrence of a triggering event. The instrument may comprise a second housing within which the secondary memory is located. The main and second housings may be contained within a common enclosure.
Electronic device including waterproof structure
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a hinge structure, a first housing structure, a second housing structure that is foldable with the first housing structure, a foldable housing, a flexible display, a first mid-plate disposed on one side of the first housing structure, a second mid-plate disposed on one side of the second housing structure, a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) extending between the first mid-plate and the second mid-plate, a first sealing member that seals a first opening formed in the first mid-plate, and a second sealing member that seals a second opening formed in the second mid-plate.
Rollable displays with tension controls
An example device comprises a rollable display. The example device further comprises an extending mechanism to adjust the rollable display between an extended position and a contracted position. The example device further comprises a tension mechanism to maintain an about constant tension on the rollable display as the rollable display is adjusted between the extended position and the contracted position.
DISPLAY DEVICE, DISPLAY PANEL AND DISPLAY COVER PLATE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A display cover plate includes: a substrate; a first thermoplastic material layer provided on one side of the substrate; a flexible polymer layer provided on one side of the first thermoplastic material layer away from the substrate; and a hardened layer provided on one side of the flexible polymer layer away from the first thermoplastic material layer.
Flexible Display Screen and Display Terminal
A flexible display screen comprises a back surface connected to a first housing, a second housing, and a rotating shaft that are included by a support component. A part that is of the flexible display screen and that is connected to the rotating shaft is used as a first bent portion. The first bent portion is bent along an axis of the rotating shaft, to fold in half a part that is of the flexible display screen and that is separately connected to the first housing and the second housing.
