An electronic device includes a housing sidewall defining an opening and a display component, such as a display cover, disposed in the opening to form a gap between the housing sidewall and the display component. In at least one example, the cavity is defined by the sidewall and the display cover with the cavity in fluid communication with an external environment through the gap. In at least one example, an epoxy component at least partially defines the cavity and can be in direct contact with the housing sidewall.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH DISPLAY PROTECTION STRUCTURE
An electronic device includes a display including a first area and a second area; a foldable housing including a first housing which supports the first area and a second housing which supports the second area; a hinge structure which connects the first housing and the second housing to be foldable relative to each other on a folding axis between a first state in which the first area and the second area are substantially coplanar, and a second state in which the first area and the second area face each other; and a protection structure provided on the display. At least a portion of the protection structure is included in the foldable housing, wherein the foldable housing may further include a front surface, a rear surface opposite to the front surface, and a side surface which encloses an inner space between the front surface and the rear surface. The protection structure, from a perspective facing the front surface of the foldable housing in the first state, covers at least some of a space between the display and the side surface of the foldable housing.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device includes a display panel including a folding area and a non-folding area which is adjacent to the folding area. and a digitizer which faces the display panel, senses a first external input and is foldable together with the display panel. The digitizer includes a substrate including a folding portion corresponding to the folding area of the display panel, the folding portion defining a plurality of openings of the substrate corresponding to the folding area of the display panel, a support portion which corresponds to the non-folding area of the display panel, and a reinforced fiber, and a first conductive pattern layer and a second conductive pattern layer each corresponding to the support portion of the substrate, the first conductive pattern layer and the second conductive pattern layer facing each other with the substrate therebetween.
TOUCH SCREEN SHIELD
A shield that is attachable to a touch sensitive screen is disclosed. The shield may be attached to the touch sensitive screen only at its outer peripheral portion. An air gap is enclosed between the shield and the touch sensitive screen to form a planar air bearing. The shield preferably does not touch the active area of the touch sensitive screen when the user is not touching the shield but only viewing the touch sensitive screen through the shield. This mitigates unwanted optical artifacts such as trapped air bubbles, Newton rings and chromatic interference while maintaining the sensitivity of the touch sensitive screen.
Electronic device including housing and method for manufacturing the housing
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a front plate, a rear plate facing away the front plate, a side member disposed to surround a space defined between the front plate and the rear plate, wherein the side member is coupled to the front plate and the rear plate to define a housing, wherein the side member is at least partially made of a metallic material, a polymer structure located in the space, and a display received in the space to be viewable through the front plat. The rear plate may be seated on the second surface.

Mounting Recess Film Covers
A device includes: a housing having an exterior surface; a mounting recess defined in the exterior surface, the mounting recess configured to receive a fastener to couple the exterior surface of the device to an external surface; a film cover pierceable by the fastener, the film cover having (i) an inner surface affixed to a portion of the exterior surface surrounding the mounting recess, and (ii) an opposing outer surface; wherein the film cover comprises a material impermeable to an environmental contaminant to prevent entry of the environmental contaminant into the mounting recess.
Computing Device Enclosure Enclosing a Display and Force Sensors
Embodiments described herein generally take the form of an electronic device including a primary and secondary display; at least the secondary display is force-sensitive and further has its force-sensing circuitry in-plane with the display. The secondary display and force-sensing circuitry may be encapsulated between two glass layers that are bonded to one another by a frit. In some embodiments the force-sensing circuitry is formed from, or constitutes part of, the frit.
