A method can include commencing generation of authentication data using a first human input component operatively coupled to a device, where the device includes a processor, memory accessible to the processor, a display operatively coupled to the processor, and a second human input component that includes an input surface, and where the input surface is inaccessible at the time of commencing generation of the authentication data; authenticating the authentication data; and responsive to the authenticating, transitioning the device to a state where the input surface of the second human input component is accessible and enabled for input.

In one embodiment, a method for managing visual uniformity in a foldable display includes identifying a hinge angle of the foldable display, the hinge angle indicating a degree to which the foldable display is opened or closed; receiving surface curvature data from a plurality of sensors of the foldable display, the surface curvature data indicating a mechanical state of a surface of the foldable display; accessing a plurality of surface maps stored in a display database of the foldable display, each of the plurality of surface maps indicating one or more display settings associated with a respective mechanical state of the surface of the foldable display; retrieving the one or more display settings from the display database based on the hinge angle and the surface curvature data; and causing a plurality of pixels to illuminate using the one or more display settings.

In each opening, some or all of the insulating warp and weft strands may be removed so that each opening passes partly or fully through the fabric layer and locally thins the fabric layer. Keys may be formed from key members and switches. The key members may overlap respective locally thinned areas of the fabric layer formed from the openings. The conductive strands may extend across the openings and may be overlapped by the key members and switches.

The first positioning structure disposed on the first mount and the second positioning structure disposed on the first engagement component are matching recess and protrusion that are engaged with each other so as to position the first mount and the second mount.
