Microelectronic device package electromagnetic shield
Microelectronic devices including an electromagnetic shield over a desired portion of a substrate. The magnetic shield is formed of conductive particles within a selectively curable layer, such as a solder resist material. After application to the substrate, the conductive particles are allowed to settle to form a conductive structure to serve as an electromagnetic shield. The electromagnetic shield can be formed primarily over regions of the substrate containing conductive traces coupled in the package to communicate signals presenting a risk of causing electromagnetic interference with other devices.
Tree Computer Kiosk System and Method
A tree computer kiosk is provided that includes a tree-shaped housing having a trunk and at least one limb and limb stub, where the limb stub is configured to accommodate a display screen. The tree-shaped housing accommodates a computer system including a processor and at least one electronic component. A power supply provides power to the computer processor and other electronic components. The tree-shaped housing includes mounting and mechanisms for securing one or more speakers, cameras, and display screens.
Voice-activated electronic device assembly with separable base
A voice-activated electronic device including a first portion with a first internal surface having a first attachment structure, and a second portion with a second internal surface having a second attachment structure. The first and second internal surfaces have compatible shapes that permit the first and second portions to be moved from a separated position to a joined position, where when the first portion and the second portion are in the joined position the first and second internal surfaces form a nested arrangement. The first and second attachment structures form a secure but separable connection to one another when the first and second portions are in the joined position. The first and second portions are configured to be joined securely and separated through manual human manipulation of one or both of the first portion and the second portion to move the first and second portions between separated and joined positions.
Ethernet key
A Compact computing device with peer-to-peer communication through an Ethernet interface is provided. According to one embodiment, a compact computing device includes an Ethernet interface, an Ethernet discovery agent, a memory and a micro-controller. The Ethernet interface is capable of connecting to a host though an Ethernet link. One side wall of the compact shielding case accommodates only the Ethernet interface. The Ethernet discovery agent is capable of discovering the host to which the compact computing device is connected. The memory is capable of storing information that is to be transferred to the host or information that is received from the host. The micro-controller is capable of exchanging information with the host through the Ethernet link.
Unibody construction triangular chassis
A base chassis of an information handling system with a generally triangular profile is formed by connecting a plurality of three-dimensional sheet metal structural elements, wherein at least two of the elements have the same shape and a gusset. The gusset connects two of the structural elements. A plastic chassis assembly may be fitted over the base chassis. The plastic chassis assembly formed to received side door covers on the base chassis.
Removable door for electronic device
A removable door for an electronic device. The door may include a spring plate having a first second surface, and a plurality of springs attached to a perimeter of the spring plate. The plurality of springs may engage a portion of an enclosure of the electronic device to retain at least the spring plate within an access opening formed in the enclosure. The door may also include a door cap covering the access opening formed in the enclosure. The door cap may include an interior surface connected to the first surface of the spring plate, and an exterior surface forming a portion of an outer surface of the enclosure. Additionally, the door may include a cover connected to the second surface of the spring plate. The cover may face an interior of the enclosure and separated from the door cap by the spring plate.
System and method for service life management by passively reducing corrosive interactions
An information handling system includes a computing component that is sensitive to corrosion; and a chassis in which the computing component is disposed. The chassis receives an airflow used to thermally manage the computing component, and expels the airflow after thermally managing the computing component. The information handling system also includes an environmental control component that reduces a condensation formation propensity of a portion of the airflow that traverses the chassis proximate to the computing component.
Modular distributed control led display system
A modular distributed control LED display system, comprising several LED display module units (100) which are spliced together to form an integrated LED display screen, each of the LED display module units (100) comprises a lamp board (110) and an independent controller (120), wherein the lamp board (110) is provided with a number of LED light sources, and the independent controller (120) is provided on the back of the lamp board (110), the independent controller (120) is used to control the working state and display mode of the LED light sources.
Biasing members for computing devices
Example computing devices are disclosed herein that include a housing member that is to be placed on a support surface. The housing member includes an internal cavity and a biasing member mounted within the internal cavity. The biasing member is to engage with an inner surface of the internal cavity to deform the inner surface.
Chassis security switch
Apparatus that can detect chassis tamper events are disclosed. One apparatus includes a chassis including a secure area housing a secure element within the chassis and a security switch coupled between the chassis and the secure area. The security switch includes a switch and a processor in which the switch is configured to mechanically trigger to a tamper state from a non-tamper state in response to a chassis tamper event occurring between the chassis and the secure area and to be electrically reset to the non-tamper state from the tamper state in response to receiving a reset signal from the processor. Methods and computer program products that can perform chassis tamper event and switch reset functions for the apparatus are also disclosed.
