COVER INTERLOCK MECHANISM

A cover interlock mechanism for drawer in a rack enclosure includes a first protrusion and a second protrusion coupled to opposing sides of the drawer, the protrusions being urged outward from the drawer, at least one structural component of the rack enclosure that engages the protrusions to prevent the drawer from being inserted into the rack enclosure, and a cover for the drawer having cavities that align with the protrusions when the cover is placed on the drawer to urge the protrusions toward the drawer to allow the drawer to be inserted into the rack enclosure. The protrusions may be urged outward from the drawer by flexible members attached to the drawer. The flexible members may be attached to bottom portions of sides of the drawer. The structural component may be a rail of the rack enclosure. The rail may be part of the framework of the rack enclosure.

Hard Disk Drive Carrier Installation System

A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for assembling a hard disk drive (HDD) carrier. An information handling system provides instructions to position the HDD carrier in place in order to secure multiple HDD units. An image is captured of secure holes on the HDD carrier in which fasteners are to be installed. The information handling system provides instructions to fetch the fasteners used to secure the HDD units to the HDD carrier and instructions to install the fasteners to the HDD carrier. An image is captured of installed fasteners on the HDD carrier. Verification is performed of installation of the installed fasteners by comparing the installed fasteners to location data in an application of the information handling system.

A fan package of an information handling system includes a rear cooling fan, a front cooling fan, and a fan fin package. The rear cooling fan generates a first airflow. The front cooling fan generates a second airflow. The fan fin package is in physical communication with the rear cooling fan and the front cooling fan. The fan fin package includes multiple fins. Based on the first airflow and the second airflow, the fins rotate between a closed position and an open position. The fins are biased toward the closed position.

A pair of side walls are provided between the front end and the rear end. The side walls are slidably connected to the chassis to allow the component housing to be moved between an inserted position and the pulled-out position. A cover on the rear end has an open position allowing air flow through the rear end when the component housing is in the inserted position. The cover has a closed position blocking air flow through the aperture when the component housing is in the pulled out position.

INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM WITH AIRFLOW AND ACOUSTICS VANE FOR HARD DISK DRIVE THROUGHPUT

An information handling system includes multiple hard disk drives, a central processing unit (CPU) and memory complex, a graphics processing unit (GPU) and input/output (I/O) complex, multiple cooling fans, and first and second airflow vanes. The cooling fans pull in airflow through the hard disk drives and push the airflow through both the CPU and memory complex and the GPU and I/O complex. The first and second airflow vanes are located between the hard disk drives and the cooling fans. The first and second vanes are in a first configuration when the information handling system is in a CPU and memory centric configuration, and in a second configuration when the information handling system is in a GPU and I/O centric configuration.

The present disclosure provides an installation device and a server including the installation device. The installation device includes: a bottom bracket for supporting a hard disk drive; a first positioning bracket detachably arranged on a first side of the bottom bracket; and a second positioning bracket fixedly arranged on a second side opposite to the first side of the bottom bracket; the first positioning bracket and the second positioning bracket are configured to fix the hard disk drive. Compared with the traditional design, four screws are omitted in the present disclosure to avoid manual locking operation in the production line and operation and maintenance of the hard disk drive module, which meets the requirements of easy installation and cost-saving design. And by adding an adapter bracket, it can be converted to a 2.5-inch hard drive bracket, which has strong compatibility.
