Keyboard device
A keyboard device includes a casing and at least one supporting leg. The supporting leg includes a first supporting part, a second supporting part and a pivotal shaft. The supporting leg is pivotally coupled to an accommodation space of the casing through the pivotal shaft. The pivotal shaft is rotatable relative to the casing. Consequently, the supporting leg can be switched between a stored state and a supporting state. When the supporting leg is in the stored state, the supporting leg is accommodated within the accommodation space, and the accommodation space is covered by the first supporting part and the second supporting part. While the supporting leg is switched from the stored state to the supporting state, the first supporting part is pushed into the accommodation space in response to an external force, and the second supporting part is correspondingly moved away from the accommodation space.
Retractable keyboards
Keyboards are disclosed that are retractable. Movable magnetic or mechanical linkage elements are configured to reposition keycaps and stabilizers between different relative positions. Structures in a movable layer can act on the keycaps or stabilizers to move the keycaps and stabilizers into a retracted position for storage and for saving space in an electronic device. The stabilizers can be scissor mechanisms, butterfly mechanisms, and similar devices. The movable layer can be moved in response to rotation of a hinge or other mechanical element in the electronic device.
Adjustable ergonomic keyboard
An adjustable keyboard having a number of keys is formed in at least two segments which are mutually movable relative-to one another using a hinge or joint. Each of the segments of the keyboard has mounted thereon some of the keys. The adjustable nature of the keyboard reduces stress and discomfort to the user by reducing contortion to the user's wrists. More particularly, discomfort to the user caused by pronation of the wrists and/or ulnar deviation of the wrists is reduced. The hinge or joint is in the form of a ball and socket-type joint with a locking mechanism, which preferably includes a pivoted handle, in the form of a lever, used for locking and unlocking the hinge or joint. The surface of at least one of the ball and socket of the joint define a plurality of recesses or a plurality of projections, to provide increased resistance to joint movement.
DYNAMIC KEYBOARD SUPPORT AT SUPPORT AND DISPLAY SURFACES
An information handling system keyboard extends plural feet from a bottom surface to reduce contaminants at the bottom surface that might scratch a touchscreen display and retracts the plural feet when resting on the touchscreen display to place a non-scratch and contaminant free surface against the touchscreen display. In one embodiment, the plural feet automatically retract when in proximity to a display surface, such as in response to a magnetic sensor integrated in the keyboard that senses a magnet integrated in the display or in response to a command from an information handling system having an integrated display on which the keyboard rests. In one embodiment, the keyboard integrates accelerometers to automatically extend the plural feet during accelerations and retract the plural feet when the keyboard rests on a display after accelerations.
Retractable Computer Keyboard With Hand-Painted Plate and Using Method Thereof
The invention discloses a retractable computer keyboard with a hand-painted board and a using method thereof, comprising a support plate, a soft silicone keyboard and a coil spring strip, wherein the kickstand pad is provided with a hand-painted screen with a telescopic a switch, a power indicator is arranged under the telescopic switch, a circuit board is arranged in the kickstand pad, a MCU is arranged on the circuit board, an air pump is arranged on one side of the single chip, and a tee pipe is arranged under the air pump, the aerating tube is arranged under the tee pipe, and the fixing board is provided with a fixing groove with aerifours orifices. The utility model has the advantages such as speeding up of the keyboard unfolding, reducing the space occupation and the overall thickness of the soft silicone keyboard and convenient for storage.
Combining electropermanent magnets and magnetorheological fluid to control an operation of an input device
Aspects of the invention include a computer peripheral device comprising an input element that operates based on a performance characteristic, an electropermanent magnet (EPM) assembly including a permanent magnet configured to generate a magnetic field and a magnetizing assembly configured to set an intensity of the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet, and a magnetorheological (MR) material coupled to the input element. The MR material has a viscosity that changes based on the magnetic field and affects the performance characteristic of the input element.
Management of user context for operation of IHS peripherals
An IHS (Information Handling System) may support a variety of types of peripheral devices that may each be customized for operation by a specific user. Embodiments provide management of peripherals devices based on the context of the use of the IHS by the specific user. Upon detecting a login by a user, a plurality of peripheral device settings associated with that user are retrieved from a remote management service. A context of use of the IHS is determined based in part on the physical configuration of the IHS, applications that are currently in use, and other indicators of a mode of operation of the IHS. Based on the context of use and the peripherals coupled to the IHS, settings are selected from the user's retrieved peripheral device settings. The peripheral devices are configured based on the selected settings.
Selectively transparent and opaque keyboard bottom
An information handling system peripheral keyboard sized to rest on an information handling display to accept key inputs has a bottom surface with a selectively opaque layer that transitions between transparent and opaque states based upon a usage scenario. For instance, the keyboard has a transparent state when placed on the display to allow light to pass through the keyboard and illuminate the keys. When removed from the display, an opaque state hides keyboard internals so as not to detract from the keyboard appearance. In one embodiment, the selectively opaque layer is an electronic ink that presents a product brand on the keyboard bottom surface when in the opaque state.
Keyboard charging from an information handling system
An information handling system peripheral keyboard sized to rest on an information handling display has a charging port that aligns to couple to a charging extension extending from a hinge that rotationally couples information handling system housing portions to each other. As the housing portions close around the keyboard placed on the display, the hinge extends a distance between parallel axles forcing a cover disposed over the first and second axles to expose an opening through which the charging extension extends. When the hinges open, the first and second axles bias together to close the cover opening and retract the charging extension back into the hinge.
Extension unit for a keyboard and combination of keyboard and extension unit
The invention relates to a combination of a computer keyboard and an extension unit for providing user input to a computing device, e.g. a computer, wherein the keyboard comprises: a housing; buttons and/or keys held by the housing; an electronic module accommodated inside the housing to convert engagement with a button or key into coded form and to transmit the coded form to the computing device as user input,
wherein the extension unit comprises: a housing; a button and/or key held by the housing; an electronic module accommodated inside the housing to convert engagement with a button or key into coded form and to transmit the coded form to the electronic module of the keyboard for further transmittal to the computing device as user input,
and wherein the keyboard and the extension unit are configured to releasably attach the housing of the extension unit to the housing of the keyboard at a plurality of different locations.
