An apparatus and method for arranging a keypad in a wireless terminal, and more particularly, to an apparatus and method for arranging a keypad in a wireless terminal to conveniently perform a key input in the wireless terminal, the apparatus including: a display unit for displaying the keypad in at least one of a right and left side on a screen of the display unit in a horizontal mode of the wireless terminal; and a controller for controlling the display unit to display the keypad in the right and/or left side on the screen of the display unit in the horizontal mode of the wireless terminal.

Detachable mechanical keyboard

A detachable mechanical keyboard includes a first mechanical keyboard and a second mechanical keyboard. The first mechanical keyboard has a first function key section, a first numeric key section, and a first alphabetic key section. The first mechanical keyboard has a first side, and a first connector adjacent to the first side. The second mechanical keyboard has a second function key section, a second numeric key section, and a second alphabetic key section. The second mechanical keyboard has a second side, and a second connector adjacent to the second side. The first mechanical keyboard is detachably assembled with the second mechanical keyboard to form a standard layout keyboard. When the first mechanical keyboard is detached from the second mechanical keyboard, the first mechanical keyboard can be used independently.

A keyboard assembly includes a keyboard body and a drive mechanism. The keyboard body includes a frame assembly and keys. The keys are arranged in a plurality of rows in parallel, each row of keys include a plurality of keys, and the keys are located in key slots on the keyboard body. The frame assembly includes a first frame and a crossbar, and the drive mechanism drives the first frame to move in an arrangement direction of the plurality of rows of keys. One crossbar is correspondingly disposed for each row of keys, the crossbar moves, along with movement of the first frame, in an arrangement direction of each row of keys, and the keys move, along with movement of the crossbar, in a direction toward the key slots or in a direction of exposing the key slots.

The adjusting method includes the following operations: adjusting a position and a size of the virtual keyboard displayed on the first touch device according to an operating range of a user; collecting several first click points on the virtual keyboard and one of the keys corresponding to the first click points; analyzing several press distributions of the keys according to the first click points; determining one of the keys corresponding to a second click point according to the press distributions and center points of the keys; transmitting the press distributions and the position and the size of the virtual keyboard to a server; and transmitting the press distributions and the position and the size of the virtual keyboard to a second touch device.
